I love premiums the best. Those colors just seem so much cooler than the neons lol

How very dare you! You should be put in the stocks for this comment! ;)

I agree that the premium colors are cooler. The Pine Green is my favorite matchbox color. Behemoth and Hydra in that color are perfection in rubber form.

I think both the neon colors and premium colors are some of the coolest mono mini figure colors ever produced. I can't pick one over the other. The only MIMP colors I find dull are the Series One regular colors.

I think they are all awesome. I personally love the premium orange and pine green; but they are all great to me!

I love the Peru figures in large part because they come in 30 or more colors. Makes them impossible to collect them all, but the variation is awesome.

I agree. I just figure for now my focus should be on matchbox until i fill out most of the set.

I am trying to buy some Peru guys in bulk, but I haven't found anyone willing to go in with me. I love the little guys, but they seem to be a hard sell at $10 each.

Yeah, that is why I have shied away. $10 a pop gets expensive really quick; especially since I have been snapping up some premiums in that range.  Do you have a lead or something? I might be down to split a bunch sometime in the future if the price is right.

I was made the offer of 45 MIMP for $450, but I only need 28 of them. I don't want to buy them all and have $170 worth of MIMP I can't sell or trade. If you want a few, message me and we can work it out. You don't have to buy all 17, of course.

Yeah, afraid that is a little too rich for my blood for now. I work contract work and this is the off season, so money is tight until september. Good luck with it though.

No worries, I think I am going to have to turn him down. He seems set on selling them all at once. Oh well.

I don't own any Peru figures, or intend to own any really, but is $10 a pop really the going rate for these tiny little guys? Or is that just what he's asking? You could buy like 6 series 3 figures for that $450 price take bud.

Oh, and I've just noticed that Mike has listed a bunch of Peru figures, which can be bought for $20 each...

I just bought a bunch of figures from a guy named mike; including some awesome transparent Sonrics last night. What is his forum name here?

From what I have seen the peru figures run from $10-20. I think I can stick to the Sonrics for now for color variety.

Yes $10 is the going rate for 1993-94 Peru. On Ebay it is even more than that. The Halloween Peru are cheap though.

Mike's name here is AfflictedMike. However, he doesn't seem to openly use the forum now though. He has plenty of awasome figures, some of which it sounds like you've purchased from him, BUT he always asks beyond (sometimes way beyond) the market value for his figures, plus he's been known to win lots/figures and flip them at a higher price - something that really pi$$es off collectors as it prevents them from getting figures they want/need for a good price. I've been tempted to buy from him, for example he has a pink Jimmy Squarefoot I need on BIN, but I've always resisted the temptation to hit the 'buy' button for the reasons I've stated above. I know there's others here that feel that way too, but there are always people willing to pay higher prices, hence why he can list them high. If you check out the 'series 3 price tracker' it won't take much working out to see which of the figures he was selling that people bought.

I see. I believe I got some pretty good deals. Some of the items do seam expensive; but the ones I got I felt were very reasonable. Transparent Sonrics for $15 and a small lot with 1 transparent, a cereal premium, plus some regular figures for $20. He was very decent about my first single MIMP purchase and initiated a cancellation when I bought another lot later that day that had the same cereal premium figure in it. I didn't even have to ask him; he just offered it rather than forcing me to pay for two of the same MIMPS that I had agreed to purchase. I typically, skip market price auctions myself; but I feel like he dealt fairly with me and accepted my offers under the BIN.

I believe I saw those Sonrics and thought they were a decent/good price considering they were transparent ones (I admit I don't know a lot about Sonrics MIMP though). I noticed he was listing them as stained. Are those really stained or did they come like that? I've seen other clear Sonrics with a similar look and couldn't figure out if they were supposed to have splashes of color like that or not.

The clear Sonrics figures fade extremely easily and they are almost always faded to some degree. Perfect ones go for batsh!t prices (last was $300) because some extreme collectors like RareBob want perfect figures.

That makes sense. Thanks for the info. I kind of figured they wouldn't have been intentionally produced that way, but they do look kind of cool like that.

To some extent I feel this way about stained series 1 neons. The colour staining adds character and helps you remember that these figures are 15+ years old, so I'm happy to have some in my collection, as long as there's not more staining than original colour ha!
