(For now, just pretend the Wood symbol is on a green die ;) )

Availability
If you're interested in getting your hands on some for your own collection just send me a PM and let me know what you would like. Since not everyone collects the same figures, I've decided to offer these individually with incremental pricing discounts for batch quantities. The more you buy, the more you save! When ordering, just specify the quantities you would like for each Beast Saga symbol or classic Battle Beasts rubsign symbol. Add $1 to each order for shipping.

Options
  • 1 decal = $1/each,
  • 2-5 decals = $.75/each,
  • 6-25 decals = $.50/each,
  • 26-50 decals = $.25/each

At this time, I am not offering the logos already applied to the dice as I do not have these on-hand to distribute. This may change in the future for the sake of convenience, but they are available on Amazon, various online game shops, and you might even find them at your local gaming store.

History
I mentioned in the forums a while back that I was working on a viable aftermarket solution to the Beast Saga Plunger dilemma. So, one day while brainstorming for method of removing the plunger, I happened to measure the square hole and realized that it was roughly 16mm; the same size as a standard playing die. Of course, the first thing I did was grab my dice bag and some initial silliness ensued:

Attached File  IMG_20130102_141535.jpg   176.1K   151 downloadsAttached File  IMG_20130102_141558.jpg   187.17K   144 downloadsAttached File  IMG_20130102_141705.jpg   143.43K   157 downloads

But as absurdity often does, these photos gave me an idea! After a bit of searching, I was able to find multiple retailers selling blank transparent dice in, imagine the luck, red, green and blue. I'm excited to announce that I have finished reproducing the Beast Saga logos into black 'shadow decals' for placing on these transparent dice. I've spent hours meticulously mapping every detail of the logos to ensure they exactly match the original artwork. As we've learned from the Beast Saga anime, the beast symbols are black until they activate, so the look also fits into the series canon. ^_^

Take all of my money, sir!

How much for you to make a couple of die? I'd probably buy quite a few for the right price.

Brilliant work good sir! I don't really mind the plungers but this is a really really good alternative and I might go for it in the future.

Nice work on the icons. I had planned on tackling that project eventually, but it looks like now I don't have to. Great work.

I grew to not mind the launchers so much, but I'm interested in these for the fire/water/wood applications. Post some more pics!

thanks for the kind words everyone; I'm glad you like them! I've added photos of the Earth Tribe figures I have finished at this point. Please excuse the relatively poor quality photos as I'm at my office and using my phone. ;)

For distribution and cost purposes my original idea was to simply sell contact sheets of 25 decals for only $5 plus $1 for S&H in a supported standard envelope. I'd like to offer them already completed, but at this time I simply don't have enough dice on hand to do so (or indeed, for all of my own beasts! :D ). Not that this won't be a possibility in the future, but for now it'd be faster and cheaper to simply get some spare dice and apply the decals yourself. :)

I'll have more photos posted soon!

I see your reasoning for doing the BS emblems as shadow decals, but how do they look w/o some degree of backlighting? Can you see them at all if you've got them, say, lined up on a shelf for example?

I've gotten used to the plungers myself. My only gripe is that the beasts can't be displayed close together. At this point I'm not sure I would replace them but I do have a few extra beasts that I wouldn't mind displaying with the classic wood, fire, and water symbols. I may be interested in picking some repro labels up...

That's a good question! This should clarify. :)

The funny thing is that it took so long for me to commit to this project that I actually ending up getting used to them myself. The main issue for me is also the display/posing problem. I have display cases that previously could only fit about 9 beasts that can now comfortably fit 20 and without the need to stagger the figures to avoid clashing arms, weapons, and plungers. :)

That looks nice, but in all honesty I like the symbols in white a bit better. Still, cool.

Heh, see I like staggering them. It gives that sort of Reservoir Dogs everyone walking forward horizontally feel where you can see all the figures from the front, rather than the normal cluster of same height, same build bodies which hides the guys in the back. Again, personal preference though. I need to get another shelf to display these guys on now that I have a whole ton.

I completely agree, and made quite a few failed efforts to get the things to print in white but the result was never good enough. My limitation being that my printer, while nice for most purposes, isn't the sort of high-end inkjet printer than can actually print white instead of relying on the substrate color. I looked into sending the files off to have them printed but wasn't able to locate any companies that would print designs this small. If anyone knows of any who do, please let me know. :)

Yeah, I know what you're saying but I typically solve the hidden-guys-in-the-back problem by using stepped platforms. The plungers get in the way however and each figure would end up mashing into the feet of the figures on the step above/behind them; not an issue anymore!

Bump for Gloria! Just began working on those Jan-Feb beast logos today; should be posted soon!

Also, even though we haven't even seen the figures yet, I managed to recreate the Octopus and Crab logos using a still from the anime on Youtube :)

If anyone hasn't bought these yet, or are considering, they're definitely worth it! Just got my stuff in the mail today from Bach and they are SWEET.

Very well done decals, couldn't be happier with them!
