Today I picked up this Hero Gladiators figure made by Bluebird & released around 1991. I remember getting two from Toysrus as a kid along with my MIMP.
The idea is you battle other kid's gladiators by rolling the figure base & if you win you get to take one of your opponents skulls & attach it to your gladiator's base.
Pretty cool & obscure & it was great finding one of these in the wild today!

Usually dont like figs with stands and dislike the game features but i admit, one of these bases with full of skulls would look pretty cool. And the figures them selves look pretty awesome too, especially the green&purple guys

I should still have Lashton and maybe my brother's Eldroc around somewhere in my containers of childhood minifigures, though we lost all of the skulls and both towers. It was a fascinating set of toys/game but not really interesting or enduring enough to last, clearly.
