If you are out at a store and you see a cool Halloween figure or toy, add the details here.

There are generally some interesting seasonal items, decor, and cheap toys that come out this time of year.

Here is one that I really like.

It is found at PetsMart.  It is designed to be aquarium decor.  It is 5 inches tall.  The base and the 3 heads are resin.  The stems are rubber with wire inside for posing.  The leaves are typical fake-plant plastic.  The eyes glow in the dark brightly, but not the teeth.  The stem, roots, and heads, also glow -- faintly.

Pretty cool, I think, for $4.

They are near the front with some other aquarium decor (like a cheesy spider, a jack-o-lantern, a tombstone, etc). The prefab display is about 2 foot by 3 foot and will have a maximum of three of these venus flytrap pieces.

It won't let me add the picture for some dumb reason, but how about the new LEGO minifigs??

KJ, where did you find these?

It's funny because the China factories started making bootlegos that were zombified versions of specific Lego minifigures about a year ago.  They've sold very very well -- partly because they are so cheap.  Lego responded by creating/announcing this series.  It is just interesting to note that the bootlegos are now innovating faster than Lego itself.

This will be a surefire homerun and probably their most popular series yet.

All the zombies are versions of earlier figures.

Also, the werewolf is the lumberjack from Series 5.

And the bigfoot is a great compliment to the yeti in Series 11 (same sculpt) .

Could not resist the idea of a Tipitiwitchet colony!

I also found out that all the green parts glow in the dark, they just need a strong charge.

Curses, I had just talked myself into parting with my Lego horror minifig collection, but now I'm going to have to seriously reconsider...

I'm pretty lousy at letting things go, which explains why the house, attic and two garages are rammed full of junk :p

I just found out that this guy who buys figures from me is adding little scenes and flipping them.  Nothing wrong with that.  Here is some of his work using series 14 figures...  good stuff.

Try Target.  They usually get them a week before TRU which is about another week before other places.

Here are some comparisons with earlier series releases:

I saw those!  I went with the bone spider.  Party City $5.  It is funny to think of a spider with an edoskeleton.  Creepy really.  This guy is 9 inches wide.  I put a Lego dude on him for scale. It'd be pretty easy to fashion some kind of harness and create a mob of Bone Spider Riderz.

As of today, 9-5, I found the Lego Halloween at TRU, Target, and Walgreens.  TRU had three packs left, Target had one pack, and Walgreens had about six. I could only get one pack myself, as I have run out of money.  Anyone want to guess which figure I got?

The Walmart near me had a plastic bucket of them.  About 30 packs in total.  I picked up the Little Shop of Horrors Legos figure.

Found another slightly smaller Skeleton Raven cast in black.. And a cool animated Tabletop Skull (50% off at rite aid) that turns its head back and forth as its eyes glow blood red and chatters about ghosts and goblins watching your soul.. then laughs like a maniac.

I saw this at my local Fred Meyer for 25% off of $11.99 I think. Fits in really well with Lego Series 14. It is over 1000 stickers ranging from 1:1 mini figures to cm square decals. Pretty cool if you have a little (or big) sticker fanatic in the house, as messy as that can be.

Comments of "I found so-and-so to be the most common" are pretty meaningless unless we know what quantity you are dealing with and to what extent that stock has already been cherry picked.  Scratch that.  Even then, it is still ultimately meaningless because what is rare vs common is based on static, unchanging, by-design ratios.

Each figure shows up either 3, 4, or 5 times per case of 60.  There are three full sets plus "extras" per case.  Instead of having 12 different extras, they force more duplicates -- some by 1 and some by 2.  The "extra" figures always prevent additional sets from being assembled (from that case).  What is rarest (3) vs most common (5) does not change ever.  They show up as 1/20, 2/30, and 1/12 regardless of how many or how few cases you are able to pick through.

Some stores get a full case, some multiple cases, and some just a fraction of a case.  A store might have only twelve packs from a case, yet all three of a particular rare figure could be among those packs.

I've seen stores put out 6 cases at once. If the cases are fresh, you know what is rare, and you are good at identifying the figures by feeling the packs, you could walk away with 18 of the same "super rare" figure.  You could come here and say "I found 18 of the zombie businessman, so obviously he is not that rare," and it would still not be true.  He still represents only 5% of the total stock -- as in, all stock anywhere.

(By the way, S14 is extremely easy to identify figures by feeling the bags.)

Anyway, I did not get a case this time around.  But from what I have read, these are the rarest figures in S14.

3 per case:

Wolfman

Zombie Cheerleader

Zombie Businessman

Cheetah Chick

Banshee

Witch
