Sasquatch?!   We've got a dozen DG stores within a few miles - hot damn!

Is that a bloated stubby unicorn on the packaging?

Kind of ironic that you can get a fat toy unicorn from a chocolate covered toy capsule. Most companies shy away depictions of fat due to possible association.

Where can I see a master list of figurines?  No luck on Google; just keep seeing Kinder and Yowie stuff.  Couldn't find them on DG's site either.

(?)

Rubberhammer, how much are they?

When/if I find them (reasonably likely with so many in the area) I'll be grabbing a case, should end up with a few to spread around.

I want pretty much all of them, but the prehistoric subset is just adorable. I lost it at "Fluffy".

So I signed up for their newsletter and from the first email I got, it turns out they sell boxes of the things directly, which is fantastic for those of us without direct access!

http://bit.ly/2BZQOD1

I also found out from their latest blog post that the product actually showed up on an episode of Shark Tank. I'm curious now to see that segment and see what it was about his pitch that makes it stand out from some of the other American-released surprise candy toys, if anything.

Well, for starters, he made a big deal about how candy has "never been down the toy aisle before." (Which is untrue on multiple accounts.)

I couldn't find the whole segment online, but I did find a dude who apparently reviews pitches and said that his pitch wasn't all that good either. Something about the patent either not being valid, or not being valid for long enough for them to establish themselves in the industry.

Either way, as the article you posted states, they got a little fame from the episode and are now selling the products.

Looks like they didn't shy away at all. Looks like their first mock ups pics were using pics of the chubby army men figures as possible prizes.

Unless the gazette did that mock up near the bottom of the article. But I've seen another pic with a different chubby soldier on another site.
