Anyone notice how inconsistent the thickness of the wash/paint on scouts can be?

 

Whilst the barest ones are no doubt that way because of wear/play over the years, I have noticed it with many of them both green and purple.

 

Heres a spectrum picture I thought was quite cool.

I often wondered this, I just put it down to handling and rubbing maybe. Your picture really shows how severe the wash could be, Really impressive picture to show the difference

Heavier wash was from the later releases, lighter and easier to wear wash the earlier versions.

The paint quality on early scouts were bad and all 3 look as new imo
