Found a dead ox beetle in the yard the other day.

beet1.jpg

I took his shell off and he will live on as a piece of art!
beet2.jpg

Thinking of doing these two ideas. Although my beetle knight might be too much like Beetom from Neclos Fortress.

Beetom

Maybe beetle knight needs to go through the design process one more time.

I like the red sketch you did better, for what that is worth. I really like your stuff, man. You might have enough pieces to substantiate doing your own kickstarter for your own line, and just go straight to factory. I'd certainly buy some. Great work.

Is that the sketch of the knight surrounded in red or the sketch of the red lil orc beetle? I am not so good with the understanding.

Thank you for the kind words but my stuff is long way off from being production worthy, but I am certainly working towards that. I have so much shit in my sketchbook from 3 different stories and not enough ability to get them all sculpted, cast and out to people. They give me plenty of options as I improve my sculpting though. Just turn to a random page and start sculpting that character haha.

Work has begun on these two pieces of crap.

I have been calling the little guy pip-pip, but that isn't a good name for a tiny little beetle orc.

You got to find entertainment where you can in a post apocalyptic wasteland haha.

Thanks for the comments, glad to hear you like them. Once some of these guys get cast up it would be sweet to see some painted up by you!

I'm working on it sir! Halloween is looking like a great time for something to get out of my sketchbook, into 3d and onto people's shelves.

Getting there.

Thank you so much! Your comment means a lot to me as old school RPGs had a big influence on me growing up. It is awesome to know it is evident in my artwork. When I start making figures, the first one I send to you will get a little kiss before I pack it up and mail it out!

Thank you! The little beetle guy is turning out to be a great little guy all from finding a beetle dead in my yard while letting the dogs out haha! I have sketched up a few of these guys and started working them into my story. Very pleased with the overall experience.

What about that goddang beetle?

That goddang beetle has been molded! Now I'm struggling to get bubblefree casts!

Do people still want to see this crap I sculpt?

Pumpkin Golem was cast up by Eric Nilla back around Halloween. Check out his storenvy or message him to see if they are still available. Eric Nilla's store

I started trying to cast up my horrible sculptures this year!
Started with little Pip-Pip. Most of these i just took from my Instagram account  http://instagram.com/redjarojam
Molding the lil turd.

I seem to be pretty brutal with the molding process. No one survives!

Soon I should have some bubble filled casts to show!

And your sculpts are breaking like that? Hm. I've never had that issue, and there has got to be a way that can be helped. That's got to be frustrating.

I would guess either

A) Bad batch, contact Aves

B )  Not mixed well enough

C) Manipulating the material after it's past the working point

Because yeah, I haven't seen that either.

Edited out the accidental smiley......
