Are there any threads or websites where you can see all the class a figures side by side? the best way i know how to do it is to go to soupie's archive and look there but i'd like to see them altogether, to memorize them so i can recognize them easier on ebay.

I don't think there has been a thread that had just Class A figures. The only think I can think of that comes close is Veers' work on the classification guide.

I hate that 168 and 189 in green are Class A. Those are two of my favorite MUSCLEs.

Unless I'm mistaken by the color of some of the photos, it would appear there are no orange Class A figures. Is that so?

Pretty much according to jmckinnion's Excel list

Watching old anime as if it's in style, since whatever is trending nowadays just wouldn't suit me at all.

Yep,just checked John's Excel list and no Orange class A's.
From my colection I've got 147(missing 1)and Orange was never
a color set that I was ever going for they just appeared in
different lots and just added them to the collection.
So ya maybe Mattel made a tihsloads of orange figs.

'On Sale' or 'For Sale'. It's really the same thing! The word, 'Sale' means YOU CAN BUY IT,
not that it is discounted. We as consumers are conditioned to think"On Sale"means it's cheaper.

Nice little factoid about there being no Orange. Looking at data from different angles tends to produce new insight. I've tried to shuffle the data around a couple different ways, but not being my specialty and being such a huge chunk of data, I was never really successful other than the first big breakthrough.

I still believe there is more we can learn about the "MUSCLE mysteries" by looking at the data. (Of course, I could be wrong about that too. )

Aren't some of the other claws pretty rare? I've seen the salmon one (if I remember correctly) go for quite a bit on Ebay. I know I saw one that wasn't purple (I realize that is super rare and very expensive) that went for around $120..Are all of the A figures worth a lot, IE over $100?

Price is really dictated by what you are willing to spend and the popularity of the sculpt. Like a purple #1 he is very popular and commands a premium price in $100+ range in recent auctions. Not all class A's command a high price. If 2 collectors have a need for a certain figure than the "power of 2" comes into play and a bid war ensues.

Sculpts like salmon and purple 107's are not seen often and can go for high dollar. A lot of factors go into price and nothing is set in stone.

Yeah, no doubt, I meant just on average, what they have been going for as of late. Like, I saw a purple claw sell for around $850 on ebay, but I can't imagine all of these would pull in that type of money..Thanks for the info about the other 2, I didn't know exactly which ones of the class A's were the hardest to find. I use to LOVE MUSCLE as a kid (hehe, I said "love muscle"...) and started collecting it again (along with a ton of other lines) around 6 years ago. I don't have a huge collection, but I do have a sealed 10 pack and 3 sealed 4 packs, and around 90 loose flesh, and plan on getting more, so I appreciate any info like this as far as what a real rare figure is (I know about the Magnificient 11 and the other rares like Satan Cross, Spinning Head Ashuraman, etc., but I am not up on the colors).

Satan cross is no longer considered a rare figure. He is actually very common and only goes for a higher price because of the mystique around his origin.

The class A's are more classified as harder to come by because they are figures that were released in Canada and not the USA.

The salmon claw is the next less uncommon claw of course behind the rare purple claw. It's price can range from $75-$100+ depending on the demand. The claw is arguably the most popular sculpt so the others can go anywhere from $15-$30

They weren't only released in Canada. I had a dark blue #168 as a kid. I live in Washington and bought them locally.

You make a great point glass and are correct. The northern pacific area of Washington and Oregon also got a lot of the Canadian class A muscles. Which makes sense considering they are so close to Canada.
