Here's some stuff I got from one of the many Secret Santas I was in on this year, that I can't quite ID:

Is this a custom Battle Beast?  Knockoff?  Foreign?  Laser Beast?  Or have I been cursed by Baphomet?

Who is this pleasant little Martian?  He came with extra arms and guns, too.

He's an "Outer Space Men" figure. Don't know the exact name because Gylos figures change them every release. You are correct that he is a Martian.

The colouring on that Laser Beast reminds me of the Russian stuff. Is it hard plastic? (Like really hard, and possibly cheap-feeling?)

Are those air bubbles? Looks to be a recast of some sort. What does the bottom of the feet look like?

The bottom of the beast's feet are smooth, and it is really hard, almost cheap-feeling plastic.

Isn't that one of those Green Mountain BB casts? I believe he casts everything in resin.

Good catch!

It could be this.

Based on the material (hard plastic) used for the Hornhead you´d tend to think in the direction of the Russian reproductions but as far as I know I don´t think they´ve ever created a Hornhead mold there and if it were Russian than the Orb probably would´ve had a color similar to the body or it´d have been casted in another less obvious color because here it jumps out to much with that Greenish bright color. That´s not a Russian touch if you´d ask me.

Looking at that orb which is clearly casted separately from the figure and inserted afterwards I think this is a technique that can be traced back to the US and since there´s air bubbles shown it can´t be EricNilla´s work ;) Pretty sure he´d have mentioned it if it was his anyway LOL

Not sure if that GreenMountain reproduction guy is now also fooling around with hard plastics in order to get started with his own ¨AMERICAN MADE¨ Russian Beasts as well but I wouldn´t be surprised if that were the case here.

So the Hornhead Laser Beasts you have there is a custom made Beast that´s most likely been produced in the US so not some kind of original bootleg or knock off. The original Hornhead figure was only available in Japan back in the days so from that point of view its sort of a foreign figure.

When it comes to the casting quality there´s a couple things that jump into the eye like the air bubbles mentioned before but also the bottom of the feet don´t match with the original figure since that one doesn´t have the sandal soles underneath its feet while yours seems to hold a little layer of casting residue or something that´s not smoothened in line with the feet.

All in all a nice gift to get though!
