Group 10

Draznar wanted to see a leaping lizard, which I think is the worst of this group

Can you guess what this beast started as?

Bovine.  I generally hated on the original beast.  Some chopping, beak adding (from robo hawk), duck legs, and maori tattoos later, I'm much happier.  Also the shoulder spikes are actually the original bovine ears (horns were already taken).

HAPPY SNOW DAY! Before I venture out to deal with the two feet accumulating outside, thought I'd throw up a few more groups.  Side note, special shout out thanks to optimusdrizzt for helping me acquire some extra spares I will need for group 24ish.

Anyways, Group 5:

Attached File  image1.JPG   71.47K   6 downloads

Anteater

Attached File  image2.JPG   49.89K   9 downloadsAttached File  image3.JPG   55.36K   10 downloads

Lizard

Attached File  image4.JPG   51.17K   13 downloadsAttached File  image5.JPG   52.91K   9 downloads

Toad

Attached File  image6.JPG   57.96K   4 downloadsAttached File  image7.JPG   54.92K   9 downloads

Bane Mouse

Attached File  image8.JPG   56.3K   12 downloadsAttached File  image9.JPG   52.73K   15 downloads

Never liked the mouse much.  Tried to gear him up a little and he ended up giving me a Bane vibe.

Bat Panda

Attached File  image10.JPG   50.52K   20 downloadsAttached File  image11.JPG   49.1K   11 downloads

I saw those Panda eyes and just thought Batman. I don't know why.  Carp arms cut down.  Fun fact, the symbol on Bat Panda's chest is simply original Panda's back gear.  Just swapped it around.  It was meant to be.

And the much more creative Group 9!

Vulture

Attached File  image1.JPG   46.6K   13 downloadsAttached File  image2.JPG   39.8K   6 downloads

Just tried to see if I could piece it together.  Color scheme experiment that I do not particularly like and so I added some blood splatters.

Turtle

Attached File  image3.JPG   48.5K   4 downloadsAttached File  image4.JPG   48.42K   17 downloads

Bada$$ Owl

Attached File  image5.JPG   56.04K   30 downloadsAttached File  image6.JPG   49.17K   27 downloads

Owl always looked a little doofy to me due to the arms and legs.  Tried to bring out how awesome his torso could actually be. Really like this guy.

Future Deer Stalker?

Dragon

Attached File  image9.JPG   49.33K   26 downloadsAttached File  image10.JPG   41.12K   28 downloads

I spent awhile trying to figure out how to make a dragon.  I was pretty happy with this guy.  I might have to try again.

Totally got the Billy Madison reference lol. I made the duck blue.....one of my favorites. I could recite the entire movie easy. Also...I just read yesterday about an albino giraffe. Weird!! Amazing stuff man!! You should do commissions lol I would love to have a custom beast made to look like my cat!! The wife would really love that one!! Lol she messes with me for two things in life. Collecting little rubber guys and the love for my cat! Though she's just as bad with the cat I get made fun of though! My favorite was the silver back!

I just hate that raccoon arm. Nothing against your figure, I just always felt like it was too damn long!

Operation Macod0shus: Part I

While scoping out every random thread from the past decade, I came across the true gem:

http://www.littlerub...pic=225796&hl=1

Well, I got to thinking that just maybe it was possible to pull these guys into the real world in some form.  I contacted Macod0shus, who gave his blessing, and so it goes. This was by far one of the hardest groups I've ever put together since it was really a struggle to adhere to designs that had no actual beast counterpart.  Really, it was the crane that convinced me it was possible.  Once I figured out how to create something close to the design lines, everything started falling into place.  I tried, in the very least, to capture the feel of each.

Attached File  image1.JPG   69.58K   5 downloads

Squirrel

Attached File  Squirrel.png   118.98K   11 downloadsAttached File  image5.JPG   48.08K   17 downloads

Attached File  image6.JPG   34.47K   16 downloads

Squirrel was actually fairly straightforward.  Flying squirrel head on a lizard body with horse arms.  The tail? Why that would be a slightly flattened orangutan arm.

Wolverine

Attached File  Wolverine.png   333.96K   16 downloadsAttached File  dasfdsa.JPG   57.09K   20 downloads

Attached File  image9.JPG   45.06K   22 downloadsAttached File  image10.JPG   42.51K   24 downloadsAttached File  image11.JPG   48.42K   18 downloads

I love this guy especially since I had been desperately trying to make a custom bear, but never had anything I loved.  Bear head and torso with porcupine legs.  I slightly shaped down rooster arms to get the look right.  The tail is from a beaver back.

Salmon

Attached File  Salmon.png   373.04K   16 downloadsAttached File  asdfade.JPG   51.11K   16 downloads

Attached File  image7.JPG   36.75K   15 downloadsAttached File  image8.JPG   34.16K   8 downloads

Ugh.  A fish.  How to make the face?  This attempt was to cut, sand, repeat with a Duck head and then I added a squid head fin to the back.  The body is a sheep and I added some kangaroo shoulder cannons.  The arms are from a bear and the added fins were cut off a skunk's shin.

Giant Ground Sloth

Attached File  Ground Sloth.png   352.8K   8 downloadsAttached File  asdfdas.JPG   46.2K   10 downloads

Attached File  image2.JPG   42.96K   9 downloadsAttached File  image4.JPG   40.6K   8 downloads

I really loved this design and really spent some time trying to get it just right.  It was a close tie between a shaved down ram head and this Tapir head that I eventually used.  I played with a few body configurations, but sometimes simplest is best (and makes the proportions work).  Sloth body with sloth arms into antelope shoulders.  I added in a little extra shoulder gear to give it more of the hump look.  Side note: while searching for pictures of Giant Ground Sloths to compare to, I found the absolutely ridiculous Don Gluts Dinosaur page. How could I not click through every page?

Crane

Attached File  Crane.png   328.37K   14 downloadsAttached File  asdfdasfdsa.JPG   53.1K   17 downloads

Attached File  dsfgdfsg.JPG   43.81K   12 downloadsAttached File  dfsgdfsg.JPG   34.45K   7 downloadsAttached File  image13.JPG   37.93K   1 downloads

I had some different ideas of how to put this guy together.  Eventually the head is just a shaved down giraffe.  Beaver torso and legs with flamingo arms. I cut and adjusted the angle of colonel bird's wings to get the wing look.  I also added half a flamingo torso between the wings, theoretically allowing for duel stickers in the future.  Why not!

Thank you Macod0shus for dreaming up these guys.  It was difficult putting them together, but I enjoyed the hell out of it.  Up Next: Part II (Mostly built, but no paint, so maybe in a week or so).
