My method of making paint masks is a pain in the ass. I use epoxy to trace out paint areas. Does anyone have a better way of making paint masks? And im not talking about taping each figure. IM talking about a stencil piece i can use to spray numerous figures.

Why not a stencil made out of silicone, it's bendable.

Do you have pictures of what you do?

Well it looks like you have the best way here. what's wrong with your method? You can re-use it indefinitly.

Just looking to hear other peoples methods. Epoxy is sticky and takes hours to settle.

You can make "proto putty", it's cheap but it's still a little messy to use.

I never tried making a stencil for anything.

It's interesting to hear you talk about this Eddie, I've heard lots of discussion on various sculpting and casting methods... but never really thought much about what goes into painting figs.

I hope we hear some good news on Snack Attack soon!!

Could try liquid frisket/mask for doing multiple at a time. Would go a long way on minis, pricing isn't too bad. Might be a bit tedious for some figs but could work well along with your current method.
