I noticed there isn't a dedicated mighty max thread here.  It mostly fits the bill for this forum--got that whole small-scale thing going on.

Over the past 2 years I have taken the time to complete my Might Max collection.  These toys are amazing.  Hand sculpted and prototyped, I think the ingenuity and artistry of these toys pre-dating digital design makes them all the more impressive.

Here's a pic of a part of my collection to get the discussion going--basically what fits nicely on a single shelf.

Showcasing some of the series 3 sets, the most recent additions, which were more available in the UK.  These were starting to get even more creative in the ways they functioned like the Nautilus, Lizard, and hand.  Simply beautiful toys.

I had quite a few when I was young. So much imagination fit in a small playset.

I sold all of my childhood MM collection several years ago now. Some of the colour variants I had sold for great money (a couple £40-£50 each) which really surprised me. Great memories of great playsets.

Thanks--I did fill that Snailien gap...was just missing one!

Was that the Mummy King prototype?

I had probably around 50% of the entire collection not long ago, and I've got a buddy who pretty much has them all!

They are awesome little playsets. Always loved them!

I also managed to obtain 2 original paintings from the packaging artwork.  They're beautiful, vibrant pieces.

Really nice collection! I love MM, it's one of those lines I'm not sure I'm going to start collect or not. I'm especially fond of the micro playsets. Maybe I'll just go for those! I sold an unopened The Fly recently btw!

I remember reading something on a site a little while ago (not sure which one now) that the Max figures were picked at random for each set? I always wondered if that was true or was it just certain sets, Just wondering if anyone can confirm this as true or not?

Sorry if this is thread-o-mancy but I finally got some Mighty Max after 20+ years of wanting them! That silly McDonald's one doesn't count...

I'm psyched! I snagged a semi-complete pile at a second hand store and am in the process of restoring them.

They're amazing, right?!

I snagged a complete Skull Mountain in the wild a couple months back.  Wasn't even going to bother with it just due to size constraints.  But complete for $40 bucks int he wild?  Couldn't say no.
