Never seen them before.
Ten bucks seems kind of steep, unless that thing is the size of a football.

A couple of the weirder aliens on the wrapping look pretty neat, if they are made from a good material.

If I am going to drop $10-$20 on a mini-figure-related-activity-toy, I will go with Beaker Creatures.

Yeah, I don't like the whole "opening experience is worth 9.00 but you will get a one dollar figure" trend. The treasure X and ready robots have the same problems. Why can't they make a pure rubber figure line, not squishy, not designed by anyone at moose, and not more than like a buck or two? With crazy designs that don't have to have a consistent "look" or marketable back story to go with them? Bah humbug.

I do like the look of some of those beaker creatures, though.

You know when the opening experience/blind box trend started I liked it. I liked it akin to the gumball machine as a kid. But man after a few years of everyone doing it and getting the feeling that I've too much on trinkets I have really soured on it. Slug zombies was last great. $2 for mono chromatic minifigure, but then that was hampered by poor distribution design.

I will pass on Beaker Creatures.

How come nearly every line like this that comes out attempts to make their creatures all cute?

What happened to hideously ugly toys?

Perhaps I am just too old fashioned.

Style is what I miss. Cute or ugly toys are great, but when they all start to look the same regardless of subject matter or brand... there are days where I'd rather eat my own hair than walk down a toy isle.

I mean, if something is selling, it will be emulated. Look at the MUSCLE boom ofmthe late 80’s, and all of the knockoffs that resulted in.

Fair point, though the pickings seemed to be larger then. More toy stores in competition anyway - bigger pool of items to choose from. Lots of knockoffs for sure, but a lot of little odds and ends that stood out on their own. Between KB Toys, Toys R Us, Service Merchandise, and K Mart for example, there were always plenty to find.
