Hey everybody,
Honestly, I don't know why it's taken so long for me to share this here, but it's about time I did. A few years back, my brother and I created an original animated sitcom pilot, entitled Masters of the Alphabet, which premiered at the 2012 LA Comedy Shorts Film Festival. It's kind of like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, but in an elementary school, and with an animation style influenced by Tom Goes to the Mayor.
Now... why does that matter to any of you? Well, the B-plot of our story was based on my childhood (actually, lifelong) affinity for M.U.S.C.L.E. figures, and actually features some real video footage of a 4-year-old me playing with and naming my MUSCLE figures. There's also some crude cartoony animation spoofing Kinnikuman.
Now I should preface, the entire pilot is about 26 minutes, and I understand in internet terms that's a large chunk of time, but if anyone wants to give it a watch, I'd love to hear your thoughts. It was one of my first forays into writing/creating a full-length pilot so it was a tremendous undertaking and something I'm very proud of. I'd rate it somewhere between TV-14 and TV-MA, so I wouldn't recommend watching it with kids around.
Enjoy,
Greg
