This thread is to construct a game guide for the Kinnikuman: Second Generation game for the Game Boy Advance. Please post your own tips as well!

STARTING OUT

Menu
The first choice on the menu is the story mode, where you play as Kinnikmantaro and fight the different wrestlers in the context of a story. The second option is to play as a 2nd Generation wrestler of your choice, and battle against the other wrestlers in the game. After you select your mode, a second menu will appear with two options. The first (higher) option is to start a new game, and the the second (lower) option is to continue a saved game. {The game will automatically save itself when you lose and see the game over screen.}

Playing the Game
There doesn't seem to be an energy bar for your opponent, but the color on his picture at the upper-right portion of the screen dictates his health. Blue is good condition, then yellow, and red means he's almost done.

1) You have two attack buttons (punch and kick... pressing the buttons together will give you another attack), one off-the-ropes dash button (Left) and one hold button (Right).

2) When you hold onto another guy, you'll see a verticle bar with a moving arrow at the left of the screen. Press an attack button when the arrow moves across a blue or yellow portion of the bar to perform a throw or hold. If you take too long, your opponent will win the hold and perform some attack on you.

If you initiate the hold with the Right button, you'll see that the yellow and blue areas are more prominent... meaning you have a better chance of winning the hold.

Each character has different throws and holds. Hold the joypad in different directions when you press the attack buttons to do different hold attacks. For example, with Tyrannoclaw, pressing back and punch will make Tyrannoclaw knee his opponent in the face.

3) You can mangle your opponent when he's lying on the mat by pressing an attack button while standing over him.

4) To finish your opponent, you have to do some kind of special move when your opponent's picture at the upper-right portion of the screen is red. Grab your opponent with the hold button, then press the hold button again (when the arrow is pointing to blue or yellow) to toss him in the air. Then, another bar appears... press the appropriate attack button when the arrow moves over the blue to perform your attack. With Tyrannoclaw, that button is punch... but that might be different depending on the different wrestlers.

Well, I beat the game on the non-story mode (the second option) with Tyrannoclaw! The last opponent for him was Terry Kenyon. Here's a couple of pictures of the match.

Terry decides to pull out a super-slam early on in the match...

The match was pretty close all the way through. But I managed to finally finish him with the Tyranno Skull Slam! I love the Tyrannosaurus skeleton in the background!

The end credits were pretty cool. The finishing moves for each character were shown. Here we see Checkmate doing his Horsey Slam on Dik Dik Van Dik.

Unfortunately, even after beating the game in this mode, the hidden characters aren't unlocked. I wonder if I have to beat the story mode to unlock them...
