pro-I'll own the arcade game MutherF**KERS!
con-I already own it on PS1. I have no way to play it since it requires an arcade machine thats equipt to play CPS3 games (A.E. Street Fighter 3)
so? should I?

Then again, if you want it and have the funds...you can do what you want, but that it seriously expensive. I would bid and see how high the auction goes, then you can watch it and decide as it progresses.
I voted Bah!

1) Not to be a Negative Nancy, but you'll probably never get around to getting an arcade machine to play it on. I've done similar purchases in the past... for example, I bought a load of Swing records with the intent of getting a record player. Of course, I haven't gotten around to buying a record player yet. So, basically, all those Swing records have been sitting in my closet collecting dust for the past few years.
Even if you do manage to get an arcade machine, it will probably cost you a crapload of money. And I assume that the arcade machine is HUGE, so it will also take up alot of your living space. AND, remember that if you move, it has to come with you, so moving it will be a bee-eye-itch!
2) You have it for the PS1, and I would assume it's a pretty good conversion since it's a 2-D fighter by Capcom. By getting this arcade version, you're essentially buying the exact same game... for $153.00.
3) What happens if the arcade game breaks? You'll have to call a technician to get it fixed, and I don't think they're cheap. If the PS game breaks, you can get a new one relatively easily. No big deal.
Anyway, do what you want... but why not look into getting an emulator for your computer instead?

$149 for arcade software is not so bad, especially if it is a title you collect.
You have easy access to cheap arcade hardware, you want the game, so buy it.
And, Mr. N., a phonograph player can be purchased for as little $1.00 at a thrift store. You can probably get one even cheaper at a tag sale. People abandon old technology like crabs jumping off Madonna.
Or you can sell me your records...

Good lord, I think I have at least 3-4 turntables just collecting dust in my attic.I've done similar purchases in the past... for example, I bought a load of Swing records with the intent of getting a record player. Of course, I haven't gotten around to buying a record player yet. So, basically, all those Swing records have been sitting in my closet collecting dust for the past few years.
