Mystical Warriors of the Ring is a 1 1/2″ toyline coming independently to Fantastic Plastic Toys and various conventions around the USA in 2013. Tentatively we will be heading to C2E2 2013 and PowerCon 2013.

The basic concept and designs are mine, however the artistic duties are handled by my great friend in India Jazyl Homavazir (Creator of indie comic Beast Legion) and sculpting/prototyping/production will be handled by my friend of 10+ years Marty “THEGODBEASTâ€￾ Hansen. It is my intent to turn this into a brand with posters, t-shirts, etc over the next few years. I believe in this idea and I think others will too as time goes on!

The idea is simple, if you were ever a fan of wrestling from 1970-1995 (Prior to the explosion of ECW/Attitude Era) then imagine that world of big characters and over-exaggerated stories in anthropomorphic form.

If you have ever enjoyed small collectible figurines like MUSCLE or The Trash Pack then you will hopefully be in for a treat.

Hmmm it doesn't say what material they will be made of but the prototype ring looks nice and the stuff it says will be added sounds pretty cool.

These look to be pretty promising as far mini figures go. The characters look like a nice mix of cute and scary.

Mark is a great & reputable guy & its nice to have TGB involved in this project.

I will be getting many of those wrestling rings for sure.

=)

I mean, the ring looks like the Dollar Tree ring, with rubber ropes, instead of elastic cording.

I don't think i have any dollar trees here. What would i search for to find this ring? I need a ring. The muscle ring is too cartoony.

These rings are soooo hard to come by, I got lucky and got one in a OMFG lot auction on ebay, and the other i got as a bonus from a buddy i bought some OMFG from.

They come w/ 2 little wrestlers.

I also use the one from WWE rumblers that came w/ a mini John Cena fig that I chopped up for a custom.

I haven't seen one for a while.
If I run across another one, I'll set it aside for you. They were $1, with two shitty bootleg micro-aggression figures (that were actually made out of a respectable plastic).
I think the ring came from the "official" knockoff line that Jakks produced, which can be found online.

I can't wait for this whole project to result in Marty coming back, and telling us all how he single-handedly save the MUSCLE collecting hobby for us (in spite of everything that Tyler, Chad, Soupie, and everybody else has done for the hobby).

This looks like it will be pretty sweet. Figures will probably be pricey though ($15-$20 each), as they will be RTV's and not injection molded.

How did i not know about this damn ring!

I've been looking for one to decorate for awhile. I was thinking cool muscle graphics printed on stickers for the sides and mat.

What's an RTV and what would these be made of using that method?

RTV is the pourable rubber that members of this board are already using to make customs... Like this one guy has this movie monster... Oh, what movie monster was that... A crawdad? A tribble? I forget. ;)
Your critter is made from RTV, at least Eric's are. I don't have any of the ones from Trutek to say.

And yeah, Tyler was decorating the living shit out of some of those rings, when they first surfaced. You could probably still find them online for fairly cheap.

the ring mystery has been explained..
http://mystwarriors.com/blog/?p=44
"If the wrestling ring looks familiar it can be found in quite a few other “discountâ€￾ lines, they were however bought in wholesale directly from the manufacturer using my retail license to customize for playability in this line."

Who is behind the line? I see the names of the art guy and the design mold/cast guy but who is the one behind it all that doesn't mention himself?

Not sure if this is something you guys would be interested in or not. Some of you may already know it exists! Not something I see myself investing in but they seem to be marketing it towards the MUSCLE crowd.
