I did go to the thread (which I somehow ignored for months...), and it's only affirmed my statement. Guys, please don't dress up.

If the date is still set at July 26, I won't be able to come. Before, I could have, but now I'm going to a six-week summer program at MSU on June 18... placing me quite a bit far away from VA. And, with only one person still around to take, I'm not totally sure mimoman could come. If you guys had it in early August no problem, but otherwise... I'm sorry I wasn't around to meet and have fun with you all.

Hmm... I guess you guys could dress up then... not like I'd have to blind myself if I was in Michigan...

No, I heard that NYS is one of the few legal states that its allowed in. You know how on radio shows, they can get some wacky guests for filler time... there ya go. And boy do they get payed alot.... And when I say alot I MEAN ALOT! I would never get one myself (couldnt resist the wink) But seriously I couldnt get one myself. They were explaining it on the show. I honestly find it mind bogaling why someone would do as a profession and also why someone would go to one with one exception. There was a nasty story about a guy in a car accident who went to one with his wife. But I dont think its appropriate to explain to the world...

I am working on a map of the U.S. in Flash that will help us to have an idea of where members are. As soon as I get it so a few states are working I will put it on my site for everyone to take a look at.

Once it is done it might help people have a better idea of were everyone else is. Once the U.S. map is done I will probably expand it for the rest of the world.

Is there still anyone interested in meeting in Virgina to hang out for a weekend?

This is aside from the anime con going on in NY.

On a side note is there anyone going to the animeexpo in Atlanta?

I hope it happens, but I think such short notice will prevent it from happening. Has anyone REALLY looked into it? Although I would love it here in NYC, its gunna be expensive...

A small meeting room at a hotel will cost you about $500.

2 adjoining hotel rooms would be about $250.
