Not sure why the question marks are backwards, but maybe I hit the Spanish one by mistake...

I have purchased several battle beasts from him back in 2012 (I believe) - all at really good prices and in good condition.  They were often in the $4-$7 range w/ weapon.  I expected them to go up slightly over time (figured that's good as a collector) but they all start waaay over that now, including the MIMP as has been mentioned here.  I'm not sure why he went so extreme w/ the prices across the board, and where does he get the endless supply of LRG?  I've given that exact seller positive feedback, but have since deleted him off my favorites list and simply ignored the ridiculous prices.

yeah I'm in the same boat on this, early on whe nI was still completing my 1-76 BB's he was selling plenty of figures for fair prices, but this was before he was selling any MIMPs. For whatever reason it seems the dollar-sign pupils came out when he got into selling those and that was the end. I can only assuming he's having some success or he wouldn't be continuing. Makes me sad to think of all the people who are buying this overpriced crap because they didn't bother to google search the toys first, which would have led them to this forum pretty quickly.

He bids on large lots and then resells the figures from them. I know I have been outbid on lots by him before, and it irked me being outbid by someone who is only bidding to resell. HIs prices are so ridiculous that most of his stuff doesn't sell though, so I don't really know how he makes a profit from doing this.

haha yeah, unfotunately that sounds nauseatingly familiar

This was the highest of the high priced common figures this seller has listed. As a bonus it is a bad picture that looks like Pine at first (at least on my screen).

I like to imagine these guys have a special form of Tourette syndrome that only makes them say "rare" at inappropriate times.

Like, not just in auctions, but in normal life.

Makes it easier to swallow the fact that there's so many of them.

Looks like those are from that big lot he won a couple weeks ago. As predicted. And I see three of them have sold already.

Shocked and saddened that people will pay that much (£100+) for figures that on a good day are worth £25. I've messaged him asking, out of interest, where he gets his valuations from and who on earth he deals with that pay him those ludicrous prices. Don't know why it bothers me so much, but it does. I expect to either get no response or an abusive one.

Here's a flavour of how bad it is:

http://pages.ebay.co...id=161647490091

http://pages.ebay.co...id=151627545170

http://pages.ebay.co...id=151627559252

Anybody want a stained T-Rex? Only £100?
http://pages.ebay.co...id=161647520002

Some of those figures I've owned doubles and trebles of! Should have sold them for £100 each rather than the £15 or so that I probably did.

I really don't know who is worse--him for listing at those prices or the people who are buying them for at (or near, I'm assuming with the best offers) those prices. Who are these people and do they really think those figures are rare enough to command those prices?

Oh, the people who are buying them, totally without question.

I'd probably even go so far as to say you can't really blame a seller for listing at that price if people are dumb enough to pay it.

Stupid people being liberated of their money is a version of meritocracy, so I can't really get too upset about it.

The buyers are fools no doubts - either noobs who haven't done their research, or people with more money than sense. However, I still place the majority of the blame at the sellers doorstep. To list them that high is making new collectors (or idiots) think the high prices reflect a true value, before reducing them a little with a 'Best Offer' option to make them feel like they've had a deal. If the seller wasn't offering them at such a high price, then the buyer wouldn't be tempted to buy them at a slightly reduced rate and feel like they'd had a bargain.
