Found one of these this week-end for a dime. A gorilla from Big Jim's Jungle Adventure. I found one last year for a buck. They're both on my kitchen table rippping Big Jim apart as we speak.

It's a good gorilla no matter what you're using it for. I've decided to update this thread weekly with whatever I find this summer.

Everything cost me $3. I was told that the Playmobil stuff was from the Netherlands in the 70's back before you could find them here (Canada). There is a heavy Dutch community in my area. The woman said they were bought on a trip in 70's for her sons who are now in there 40's.

Afterburner will sit in my mini arcade beside mindi Pacman and Galaxai. I always buy indians and I have one similar to the chief. I bought bag of little guys cause I was posting here :D. I have a Batmobile like that already but the paint on mine is worse. There's also a Toby McGuire Spiderman and some Vemon from the 90's but they're already a shelf. Overall pretty psyched about the Playmobil since I have about 20 guys and couple horses but this is the first actual playset that I've found. Seems to be pieces from a few construction sets. Makes me wonder if the boys had more sets at one point,

Wasn't too bad a haul this week, Army Meccano set from the 70's... most of the pieces are there. It was a jeep when I bought it but me and my brother turned it into a gun turret. Perfect size for 3 3/4 inch guys like C.O.R.P.S or G.I Joes. Another biker mouse for my biker gang. A new Playmobil to go with last weeks old guys and the guys on my shelf. The previously noted CORPS guy and a couple GI Joes. Some squadies. What looks to be an old Krilin from the 80's. And a couple Gameboy games. I found Super Mario Land 2 a few weeks back. Now I have both of them. Total cost $4.80 for everything plus some crap that I didn't take pictures of.

The first pic is the good stuff to me. 2 Garbage Pail kids, Luke Skywalker from the 70's, 3 older Pilsbury figures, 2 Kellogs Ducktales toys and a TMNT Ray Fillet with the colour changing chest ( my other one is solid yellow and blue). Second pic is mostly Kinder toys, love those metal knights when I was a kid (just thinking about them the otherday) wish the one had a horse, no 80's Burnin Key turbo Vette but I got the keys in case I need it. Pac-Man puzzle. I like the picture like the cartoon. I have a Pac-Man tin full of marbles with a pattern like that. The Bat Plane is newer but I liked the old school look. I looked for model paint but have to to find some in my town. Finally marbles are always a buy if they're at a decent price. Total cost for everything $3.

That's an epic score, even for the GPK Cheap Toys alone, which must be worth a couple hundred dollars each.

Can we get a close up of the Catty Kathy figures? :)

I was talking to some friends that buy scrap and are always out at the yard sales when I found them. They chuckled when I grabbed these and got so excited. LOL

I'm back again after a week off. Not to say I didn't find anything last week. 70's fisher price Sesame Street ( I'll post pics if I take some). This week though we have a 1982 GI Joe HAL. Ape O'Neal the later version and that guy that destroyed Alderan from Star Wars 70's style. Micheal Jackson Thriller (still a solid album and Eddie's guitars snap crackle and pop in all the best ways on vinyl) and Piledriver: The wrestling Album (I have the original Wrestling album with Real American and Land of 1000 Dances the WWF version on my bedroom wall  but this one has the Demolition theme with Rick Derringer aka the song that sound tracked my childhood). Finally I threw in a pic of the VAMP/HAL combo with Snake Eyes rockin a sword and giant laser (HAL and Snake Eyes found at previous yard sales). Total $2.60.

Batman/Batmobile and Spiderman. Vegita from Dragonball which goes with the Krilin I found a few weeks back (we earlier in thread) and a Tonka dirt bike from the 80's (I can always use a good toy bike). An awesome pizza tossin Mike... he's big and stupid looking my favorite (I swear I have one of the pizzas around here somewhere. Finally some more Playmobil guys newer stuff but still pretty cool. Total for the week-end $2,50. I would have got more but I had to go sell popcorn with my sister at the folk festival and only got out between 7-8. This week-end I'll be visiting the comic shop after I yard sale so I'll probably put up what I find there on here.

You have some epic finds. I never find anything good at yard sales. (Not for me, anyhow).

Maybe I'll get the wife to go out yard sale-ing this weekend . . . .

It's one of those things where I just have to be persistent and I always think my time or effort isn't wasted if I only find 2 or 3 things as long as they fit somewhere in my toy room... or now on top of my tv stand. Last week-end in august is the talbot trail yard sale (longest yard sale in Canada) mostly just scattered along the highway and the towns the highway goes through but there is always something good.

I'm back again after a few off (rain two weeks in a row blah). I got out to the comic store and bought some CORPS last week (actually you can the front of the CORPS truck in my last pick just above Korba Khan's head) but I didn't take pics of the CORPS. The first pic is a bunch of TMNT accessories (too many to name which goes to which here). MOTU accessories same as the TMNT too many to name here. Some GI Joe accessories. Ghostbusters , Transformers and Silver Hawk accessories... and Mumm Ra's head dress peekin out from my bad pic. Wiley Kat and a little Mumm Ra, some Simpsons, 80's Mario McDonalds toys, couple Smurfs and some right bad ass AD&D knights from the 80s. 80's McDonalds Looney Toon and Muppet Babies toys. Finally I put up a pic of my He-man guys tryin out the new weapons (there were more but I got lazy... too lazy to take a pic of the TMNT with they're new toys... maybe later). I got all of this plus more which I didn't take pics of for $10. I bought it all from the same guy... my grade school principal even though since then he's went on to become superintendent then retired to a life of long hair and junk collecting. Some of it is a bit chewed but usually doesn't matter much to me and it was worth it for all the good pieces.

I'm back after a few weeks... I didn't find much last week but I still took pics this week. The first two pics are the TMNTs and the Transformers trying out there new weapons from a few weeks back. Last week I found a Batman and Robin Mr. Freeze (Ahnold)... Yosamite Sam from Arbys... Strawberry Shortcake... a few Digimon/Yu Gi O and three Playmobil guys (the baby's the best find). This week I found a Playmobil Esso (would have been cooler is it were a Shell) that came with all sorts of little pieces... tools, a bike, a dog... it's been a good year for Playmobil. Finally some sort of Star Wars vehicle that will now carry my brothers clone troopers... it was only a buck... it's missing a few pieces but it's still way cooler than putting them on a shelf. Cost me $7 the last few weeks. Next week-end is the Talbot trail of yard sales (longest yard sale in Canada) my hopes are never high when it comes to yard sales though... you take what you can get.

P.S.- just because I started this thread doesn't mean that everyone isn't welcome to share the treasures that they find at yard sales, garage sales, barn sales, farm auctions, trunk/boot sales, flea markets, white elephants, bazaars etc. :)

Well I spent about 6 hours on the talbot trail of yard sales and ended up almost an hour away. One of the first sales I got to this women was buying up all the good stuff... she had a pile with G.I Joes, M.U.S.C.L.E etc.... It happens though. I found some pretty good stuff none the less. In the first pic there are some C.O.R.P.S, some G.i Joes, some evil chick from Bionic six, Talon from Steel Monsters( if you don't know check it out..I'm always one the look out for the trucks), Pidge, Batman and Robin bad guy to go with Arnie Mr. Freeze from a few weeks back, Arnie from Last Action Hero, bad guy from Robocop and bad guy Commmando...Sawbone I think. Second Pic Rock guy from He-man, Yusagi, sports Modo (and another mouse to my biker mice gang), Mr. T to round out my A-Team(now Clubber's Lang doesn't have to fill in anymore), ISectors guy with bug, adventure people spacechick, two bendy guys that I have no clue about, a gargoyle that I have one from the same dollar store set and Willem Dafoe green goblin. Third pic... a few transformers and Go-bots. Fourth pic... some Ro-Gun robots, a few Pikachus, Gizmo to go with my other Ducktales toys form earlier this year and a couple G.U.T.S. Fifth is a Mummies Alive motorcylce and an Adventure People motorcycle (I used to have one just like it when I was a kid and still have the guy). 5,6,7,8,9 are G.I Joe vehicles that I found... most just shells but that tank will look sweet on the lift in my G.I Joe base getting repaired. 10 is an Imperial dinosaur and a ghost from Ghostbusters. 11 and 12 I have no clue about but they cost me $2 for the bucket (p.s if anyone knows what these are I would like to know). 13 is my favorite the Rogun... his one barrell is busted off but that hasn't diminished my enjoyment one bit... I put caps in and shot it off... two triggers and double barrels... the caps pop and light up under the red plastic and smoke comes out.. bad ass. The guy I bought the action figures from was a collector and gave me his card... I'm going to email him and see what he has. Overall not a bad day cost me around $20

Got a call from mom's husband (dad?) the other day saying he had some wrestling toys. I wanted to check them out even though I knew I wouldn't want any. I did however found these over there. Shedder and Muckman from TMNT, a couple of Mighty Ducks, Vulture, Goku and Batman. Some Pokemon (they seem to be all over my house mainly on my tv). And finally a MASK truck. Not a bad haul since I didn't know what I would find.
