I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm finding these days it's easier than ever to wind up with duplicate toys. Especially with all the blind bag stuff, amirite?

I'm a completionist, but unless I'm army building, one of each figure is usually enough.

Anyway, this contest is all about your duplicate toys.

To enter, all you have to do is post a picture of a toy you have more than one of, like so:

Attached File  dupes.jpg   38.32K   5 downloads

Easy, right?

The only proviso is that your picture must feature at least two of any one particular toy, and they must be exactly the same figure, not different versions of the same figure (and different colours are not allowed! They must be the same toy)

- One entry per person. You must have been a member from before the datestamp on this post to enter.

- The contest will end shortly after Easter Sunday (March 27th), so make sure your entries are in by then, as I will close it to entries any time after that.

- Prizes will be added to the pot for each and every entry we get. So the more entries, the bigger the prize.

One lucky winner picked at random will end up with a bunch of my duplicate toys. I promise they will be cool toys.

If there are six entries or more, there will also be a slightly less lucky runner up.

Thanks and good luck!

I typically don't enter these contests, but what to hell.   To be perfectly honest, I have so much stuff already that the notion of winning more stuff kind of makes me feel like a greedy, opulent hypocrite, especially when there are so many newer/younger collectors on the scene that didn't have the 40-year 'head start' that I enjoyed.

But like I said, why not give it a go once, eh?

How about a gaggle of Skitzos, the violently insane tormentor?

Attached File  IMG_1048.JPG   101.74K   15 downloads

...Or this guy, the viciously dangerous werebeast Weapons Master?

Attached File  IMG_1049.JPG   144.23K   12 downloads

Wow...that's a LOT of green ogres, Frank!!   Reminds me of Jed's Behemoth grouping!

Edit:  Just realized that I missed an opportunity with the Skitzos... "It's fun to stay at the Y-M-C-A!"

Still, though, the second from right ended up in an 'interesting' pose...."Take THIS!  Haw haw haw!!"

A great response so far considering I haven't yet put up any pics of prizes.

Six entries means we will definitely have a runner up.

Expect images of the first six elements of the main prize later :)

Advanced Dungeons & Dragons
"Neo-Otyugh" and 'Deadly Grell" doubles
291oo6x.jpg
2wokjr6.jpg

"An otyugh is an aberration with a large (eight feet in diameter), bloated body covered with a rock-like skin that is brownish gray in color, which is in turn covered with dung. An adult otyugh usually weighs around 500 pounds. Its three thick legs give an otyugh slow ground movement, but enable it to pivot quickly. With three eyes on a leaf-like stalk that moves quickly from side to side, it can quickly scan a large area. An otyugh's primary means of attack is by two long tentacles which are laden with bony thorn-like ridges.

Even more fearsome than the otyugh is the neo-otyugh, a larger, more ferocious species of otyugh, which has some psionic powers as well as a bite which can lead to super-tetanus."
grell-and-neo-otyugh-copy1.jpg
"The grell is a levitating creature with a body like a giant olive-colored exposed brain the size of a human and with a frontal beak, below which trails ten long pale olive-green tentacles. Grell are usually found underground and are particularly dangerous and vicious. The tentacles carry small spines that inject paralyzing venom into a victim."

Great contest!
Reminds me of how much of an obsessive packrat I am. (As if the piles of toy filled boxes infesting my life didn't do that on the daily)

18 entries so far, keep it up folks! The more entries, the bigger the main prize.

The digging out of prizes is taking a little longer than expected, but bear with me.
