Hello,

I was lucky enough to find an entire box, actually more than a box, of unopened, sealed Cheap Toys with Crummy Candy from 1986.  It has the box.  It looks like they were from KB toys as they have clearance stickers on them.  There are 27 altogether.  I was super excited.  Have I found something special?

hi

post a picture

they are worth about $25 each if common figures.

you can see through the pack with light as some colours are rare

which are worth quite a bit more depending on the colour

so yes even if all common still a special find :D

I will post photos when I get home from work! That is AMAZING news!  Thank you! Can you point me to a rarity guide or tell me which colors I should check for?

I'd say $25 is a bit much each, and once you search the box and pull out the rares it will significantly hurt the price. Searched boxes have been hurting the prices of these lately.

This auction just ended at $300 for a full box - $12.50 each

http://www.ebay.com/...n-/201086382585

and this one ended at $317 for a full box - $13.20 each

http://www.ebay.com/...K-/181388214508

This one went for a bit more at $462.80, but its from the Australia, and could have been an imported UK Ireland box.

Still a great find, Its been years since I found a box in the wild. Congrats!

Sorry guys, I forgot to post photos.  My home is overflowing with collectibles, toys, and games, from thrift shopping and I spent most of last night organizing.  Not even close to done, but the journey is half the fun.

To be honest I only paid $25 for the box, so even at $300 value, that's a huge score.  I found it at a garage sale of a flea market vendor who lives next door to a buddy of mine.  He had a full box of garbage pail kids pins and and a full box of garbage pail kids poster cards (unopened) but I felt he was asking too much.  He wanted $80 for the pins, and $50 for the poster cards.  They were from 1986 as well.  I knew the cheap toys had to be something special though.

Thanks for the rarity guide!

When you are ready to sell these, please post a new thread in the Got Toys section.

Here are those photos I promised. They are all marked with KB toys 4/$1 stixkers. Does that hurt the value? Thanks for looking! I'm about to go through with a flashlight.

I don't believe I saw any rares, there were a few lime green I was hoping were neon yellows, but I don't think so. There were 4 Adam Bombs though, 1 yellow, 2 blue (I think it was blue) and 1 lime green.

Yeah I like the tags too! KB was a great toy store. I have always hated it when people try scraping off the price tags only to leave a sticky residue that looks worse than if they would have just left the tag on. It adds to its history.

hi

I've got a few of what appear to be light green, but they are lighter than all the greens above.  Could they be neon yellow?

How rubbery do the neon colors feel?

If they are neon yellow they should basically glow inside the baggie when a flashlight is shined on them. They will appear translucent and very bright. If you bend them they will feel much more soft and bendable than a common base color figure.
