Seeing as how they're being mass produced I think 40 is a little steep.

When these go up for sale I'll be curious to see what color assortments everyone gets. For the people they sent preview sets to from Instagram, it looks like most got the same exact color-sculpt combos I did. I wonder if every sculpt will be available in every color or just some.

yeah thats a good point. with 108 different sculpt/color combos, i wouldnt imagine they are producing 100+ of each unique minifigure

I'm hoping I'll have my freebie set by the weekend, so I can check the sculpt/colour combos. As for the pricing, I don't think $40 for a full set of 12 figures is at all bad, considering how awesome the sculpts are and the effort gone into the design and packaging. I've actually got a colour set and a flesh set coming, but only the colour set will be mine. I bet it'll be hard for me to let them go ha!

They reached out to several people via Instagram offering to send some, I guess people whose feeds they liked following. They didn't actually ask for a review or posts to be made, but they probably figured people who they sent some to would inevitably post about them and that it would help get the word out.

Yeh he never actually said that he wanted publicity etc, but obviously I'll be posting pics when they arrive, plus I've already shared whatever info he's passed on to me with those that were interested on The Minifigure Militia page.

The price point of $12 is fair. If they made half the run as motuscle which were $6 each, that sounds about right considering these don't have the cross-market appeal as those do, and those are still very much still in stock which isnt something a small company with very little storage space wants. Small run = complete sellthrough = on to the next thing.
Also a legit artist painted the package design and that's a lot more expensive than tinkering with photoshop for 10 minutes like the OMFG and MOTUSCLE designers did.

It's all about your insta-followers.

My wife was offered all kinds of free stuff before her account was compromised.

If your content is likely to attract customers, they'll send out some free samples with the presumption that you'll do their advertising for free.

As someone who also "tinkers with Photoshop", I'm going to say the guys who designed the MOTUSCLE and OMFG packaging were also legit artists, and assume you're being hyperbolic about the 10 minute thing..

I got a flesh set; would've gone for the colors if flesh was excluded from the options on those. looking forward to getting these in hand, some really creative sculpts.

and yes the package artwork is pretty sweet

$40 for a set of figures I can deal with. $24 to ship them to the UK? That's... off-putting.

Quick question; Would they accept a prepaid Visa? Or is payment only through PayPal? It would be easier for me just to get the prepaid card to pay for a set than dealing with PayPal's shenanigans.

Thanks I got it. I first thought you guys were saying that a 3 pack was 40 bucks.

It's gonna cost a pretty penny to complete a full color set.

If any overseas people want to buy them and ship to me in the US so I can ship out to you cheaper we can do that. Would probably make a big difference if you wanted them shipped in a bubble mailer without the packaging.

These are pricy. Any chance I'll find them at DesignerCon? If so, I'll happily wait to save on shipping.
