I'm trying to put together a collection of as many of the Ghostbusters companion/accessory figures as I can, and still need a bunch of them. I need all of them shown below.

 

I'm interested in trading (I have tons of stuff--let me know what you're into), or buying at reasonable prices.

Has there ever been any one artist attributed to the GB companion ghosts... or has anyone come forward and talked about their experiences designing those?  They are just such random and bizarre sculpts, and vary so much in shape and design.  I've always wondered about the behind the scenes of those little guys.

Not that I'm aware. I know David Arshawsky did all or at least many of the TMNT ones, but I'm not sure about Ghostbusters. As you said, they vary so much so I'd guess that multiple artists did them.

 

 

I think I have some of these that I had reserved for sale, but the guy never paid. I'll check my stock and message you.

Anybody mailed a full on gallery of all the companions?  FKRO's post got me googling and curious about all of them.  I checked little weirdos and they only have a few.  And some of the sites only have a few... I can't anything that resembles a complete gallery.  Any suggestions?

I don't think there's a complete gallery or checklist of them anywhere. It's something I'd like to put together, once I have all or most of them in my collection so I can photograph them all individually. The Little Weirdos post I did on them a while ago just showed whichever ones I owned at the time. I actually never realized just how many of them there were until recently. In addition to the action figures, there's a handful of them that came with vehicles and a few that came with some of the larger ghosts.

Those GID versions are definitely the coolest!

Those GID ghosts are definitely cool. They used the same molds as previous ghosts in the line, but in glow instead of clear colors. Unfortunately, they're also the hardest to find as the Ecto Glow set was the final and most limited release in the line.

Yeah, I have a ton of these, and only one glow ghost.

You also never see the ghost that came with Egons lab playset. At least I haven't.

I wasn't even familiar with that. I Googled it and it looks like that set wasn't actually released?

I found this section interesting about the Josca line... I know they are supposedly sub par in their paint jobs etc... but they look like they have some different colored ghosts and a couple of enhancements on the original line!

Yeah, from what I read on a couple sites last night, it came close to being produced but didn't actually make it out.

I had/have a running checklist of the ones I need(ed) and have been removing them as I acquire them. Been collecting them for a long time and still every now and then discover one that I was previously unaware of. I have an extra little blue ecto-plazm one if interested. Let me know and best of luck hunting those ghosts down!

If you're talking about the ghost with it's mouth open kinda looks like the bottom half of the green ghost in Frank's want list, I think that's just an ectoplazm ghost I know I have at least one.

Thanks! I'll let you know if I need help with any pics. I'd probably be interested in your extra ecto-plazm ghost. I'll PM you.

I think they might have used the same sculpt in the Power Pack Heroes line and the Ecto-Plazm cans. In Power Pack Heroes it's green and has that extra piece that attaches to make it look like a different ghost. The Ecto-Plazm versions are either red, blue, purple, or yellow and are just the bottom part of the Power Pack ghost. I don't have either in hand so I can't say for sure, but in pics it looks like the same sculpt.

I've got the Twister and Vapor Ghosts. Vapor Ghost is going nowhere as I still have the complete Power Pack Louis from my childhood, but I'd be happy to trade or sell you the Twister Ghost.

Updated grid of ghosts I am looking for. I removed the ghosts I have got or am in the process of getting since my original post, plus added in some others like the Slimed Heroes squirting ghosts and the Ecto-Plazm ghosts. If you have any available, please let me know and let's work out a deal!

I see you added those popper ghosts.  I have the vapor ghost (first pic) that I would trade for one of the glowies besides Jail-Jaw.

The glow ones are quite a bit rarer than the others. I don't own any but they're not high priority for me since they're re-used sculpts. The only GITD ghost that's somewhat common is the Jail Jaw that came with the Ghost Trapper, which has no paint apps.

Yeah, I know.  I am only collecting the clearies and the glowies.  I don't care for the squirters, poppers, or others.  The Vapor Ghost is a softer rubber than the norm, and that is why I would be willing to get rid of it.

Oh, okay. Well I know I have a clear orange one that came with the Ecto-1 and the clear blue conjoined ghost. Plus a ton of non-Ghostbusters stuff.

Do you mean the Snatcher ghost? I think the Vapor ghost is the third one from left on top and hard plastic.

Counting from the top left corner going across to the right I have number 2 and 3 and 5 and I have the one directly under number 3 but mine is pink not blue.

I have several of the ghosts you're looking for.  Maybe we can work out a trade if you have some of the ghosts that I need.

 

Specifically, I have all 4 brain pieces, the skull without a hole in the head, the nose, several of the Slimed Heroes ghosts (don't remember which ones just yet...  I'll look for you), and at least 2 of the 3 Power Pack ghosts you need.  I can get a photo for you if you're interested.  That's at least 2/3, right?

 

Please see the photos for what I'm looking for.  If the box is white I do not have the figure.  If the box is blue or green, then I am good to go.
