I am very excited about the new series. As reported on Nama Niku, Yudetamago have returned to the classic Kinnikuman franchise, with the new series picking up right after the Scramble arc.

The news in Japan has been pretty major to say the least. The new series has been the top trending topic on Twitter in Japan since the announcement, and fans across Japan have had a sudden awakening of nostalgia and passion for the original series.

Depending on how this does, we could see an influx of new merchandise and potentially a new cartoon series to boot. How this will all play out overseas is another story.

i still wonder what they think of the american fan base and the weird passion we have for the line. i also wonder how much influence we had (even just a little tiny bit) on helping get the new series?

We shall see on the 28th. There is a lot of time between where Kinnikuman ended and where Nisei starts.

Kind of boring to think nothing happened during that time.

Yudetamago said the new series starts right where the Scramble to the Throne arc left off. That was Kinnikuman holding Super Phoenix. They are still on earth is my guess.

I'm sure we'll find out what became of Phoenix subsequent to the Scramble for the Throne. Seeing as how at the very end he was no longer possessed by the 5 evil gods when Kinnikuman revived him, I suspect he won't be up to his mischievous ways. However, something may happen to change that later on.

There are so many possibilities in terms of direction that the story can head in. For one thing, I can definitely see Akuma Shogun making a return. Suguru never truly defeated him thanks to Buffaloman's shenanigans, and he was arguably the greatest adversary the justice chojin had to deal with. That being said, I'm looking forward to seeing what devious plans the devil chojin are up to.

I'm more of a Battle Beast Laser Beast collector but I LOVE me some m.u.s.c.l.e.s, I unfortunately don't understand most of these posts because I didn't even know there was a story line to those AWESOME lil pink wrestlers that came in a trash can till I stumbled on the LRG forum a few month's back, but do I understand the original maker of Kinnikuman is coming back with an extended toyline or comic or something? so we may see a new release of m.u.s.c.l.e men? Sorry for my lack of knowledge to all the diehard's on here.

It's very possible they'll release a new line of toys. Merchandise sales have always been strong.

Man, the first chapter isn't out yet and I can't wait to get the first volume in my hands!!!
