Series 5 mimps, do you happen to know if they were packed in sets of six like Series 4?

It's just that I've only ever seen photos of these boxed sets with the 2 figures displayed in the window without knowing what could be inside. So far I've actually only worked out a small handful of which sculpts are included in these going by individual figures or figures bundled together in job-lots seen on ebay. As far as I Know these are:

Tarantuala & Soldier Beetle Set

#121. Orange Tarantula
#127. Mint Green Soldier Beetle
#131. Red Vampire Leaf Hopper
#135. Yellow One Eyed Jack
#139. Olive Green Scarface Scorpion
#144. Orange Hunchback Beetle

Wolf Spider & Armoured Cockroach Set

#124. Yellow Wolf Spider
#130. Red Armoured Cockroach
#134. Mint Green Stink Bug
#138. Olive Green Horntail Moth
#140. Olive Green Mexican Bed Bug
#143. Orange Cave Cricket

Turret Spider & Armoured Cockroach Set

#125. Olive Green Turret Spider
#130. Mint Green Armoured Cockroach
#133. Red Eastern Toe Biter
#135. Orange One Eyed Jack
#139. Yellow Scarface Scorpion
#142. Orange Horsefly

If you've already fallen sleep while reading this, then I must apologize for my obsessive "compulsive-nature" when it comes to mimps! ;)

I just find it strange that none of these are listed in Scott Andrew Hutchkins's Figure Packaging Guide on the MIMP Collectors Archive website. Yet somehow he's managed to get all 6 and 12 packs of Series 4 figures listed on there. Awfully strange if you ask me.

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but for those who may be interesed, I reckoned I'd better share my thoughts on which other less common Series 5 figures were packaged in the smaller boxes back in the day.

Since I've still yet to come across any of these on ebay, and I'm aware these 6-Packs existed at some point like other series had, but I want to know why they're so damn hard to find.

Anyway, when googling "Monster In My Pocket Super Creepies" the first image I saw was of five figures belonging to some collector who has a whole photostream of different pictures on yahoo. If it's someone on here, am I correct in saying you once had an Orange Crab Spider with that little lot? The reason I ask is because of this I found on Raumhafen. Anyone with pics or info on this subject please feel free to share! :D

Hi Ant have you got many s5 MIMP? Could you post a pic of what you have?
I've never seen a s5 secret 6 box. I've seen a few 12 box sets and I picked up some single packs back in the day.

Hi Chris, long time no speak! :)

I'm afraid I don't own any S5's ATM as I feel I should bide my time in order to find the less common sculpts in the smaller boxed sets. They're awfully hard to come by I must say. I Did once own some single packs, but I discovered that the colours were the same as those in 12-Pack boxes. This is why I prefer to own certain mimps with packaging like the S4 set I won last summer with Hanuman leaflet inside. I've even kept each individual plastic bag to store them in when they're not on my bedroom shelf! :p

That's another thing I wanted to ask everyone actually. Who here also likes to keep display boxes with their figures?

I do to some extent, hence why I'm still after two more series 2 24 pack boxes and a set of series 1 24 pack boxes. If anybody has any let me know

Yeah, I remember your complete set of Series 2 colours all displayed in 4 volcano boxes. They are fab from what I've seen! :good: I take it the set of Series 1 boxes you're after are for your collection of neons.

Don't suppose you recall which boxes your Super Creepies belonged in before you sold them do you burty? The two I've yet to decipher are Black Widow Set, and Jumping Spider Set (which both came with a Robber Fly if I remember rightly).

You got it bud, I'd like them to display my neons in

Unfortunately I can't recall anything about my Super Creepies boxes apart from the fact that when I found the figures out and got them ready to sell I had a few figures as doubles, suggesting that I didn't buy them as a big pack, but rather in multiples of the small boxes.

Even though last year I found what I believed to be my entire MIMP collection at my parents' house, I'm almost certain that over the years some of my MIMP figures were given away or went missing, as when I was preparing to sell my series 4 collection I discovered (once I'd emptied the bag they were stored in) that Hanuman and Houngan were missing. I know for a fact that I used to have them, but they were nowhere to be found, so I had to buy them on here before listing the 'full' set. It was odd that I'd rediscovered at least one of every sculpt from each later series 4, 5, 6 and 7 apart from these two particular figures.

I have some boxes but I will certainly be looking to get rid of them. Gaudy, garish, bulky things, and invariably ingrained with 20 years worth of dirt.

Just checked out your collections thread Chris. Awesome lot you got there BTW, but it turns out you own a number of sculpts from one of those 6-Packs of Series 5 without realizing it mate! (Wolf Spider Set by the looks on it). Did you just get those as single figures in recent years? Or have you had them since childhood?

Ah, I see. Have you ever considered getting every sculpt in every colour from either Series 5 or 6? I believe Strontium has, do you happen to have the link to those old topics of yours Stronty?

Wouldn't mind seeing all the different variations of bugs & dinos again mate. :)

Hi Ant have you got many s5 MIMP? Could you post a pic of what you have?
I've never seen a s5 secret 6 box. I've seen a few 12 box sets and I picked up some single packs back in the day.

Hi all, just thought I'd update a really old topic with this eBay UK auction link: http://www.ebay.co.u...WoAAOSw7RdZxOuS

I believe these are the remaining Super Creepies thought to be contained in the secret 6-pack boxes that I hadn't previously worked out. For those interested, here's what they are:

Crab Spider & Soldier Fly Set

#126. Orange Crab Spider

#128. Mint Green Soldier Fly

#131. Mint Green Vampire Leaf Hopper

#137. Olive Green Dog Face Butterfly

#142. Red Horsefly

#144. Yellow Hunchback Beetle

Black Widow Spider & Robber Fly Set

#122. Olive Green Black Widow Spider

#129. Red Robber Fly

#132. Mint Green Lightning Bug

#136. Olive Green Clubtail Dragonfly

#140. Yellow Mexican Bed Bug

#141. Orange Lady Bug

Jumping Spider & Robber Fly Set

#123. Yellow Jumping Spider

#129. Mint Green Robber Fly

#133. Mint Green Eastern Toe Biter

#137. Orange Dog Face Butterfly

#141. Olive Green Lady Bug

#143. Red Cave Cricket

The latter I worked out automatically going by the photo in that auction. So that's it then, mission accomplished! :D I've finally figured out which figures belong in their correct sets. All that's left now is the Dinos. If I even get round to it that is!  :p

Is anyone on here bidding on those by the way? I only ask because there's currently one bidder and there's at least five days to go and it's only at three quid. Whoever wins this lot of eighteen figures will have got an absolute bargain. I know these aren't talked about or as popular among collectors though. However I've always been intrigued by alternate colour sculpts of the later MIMP series, and was wondering if anybody else shares my views.

I knew there'd be a fellow collector who appreciates the bugs. There's also this little lot that includes a S4 Red Astaroth: http://www.ebay.co.u...=20160727114228

Do you also collect Super Scary and Dinosaurs? I know the Dinos have lots of variable paint applications on the same figure like the Creepies. I believe our old friend "Stronty" has pics to prove this. Would be nice of him to provide updated photos of what he's acquired over the years.  :)
