When they started doing this years ago I was running a comic shop at the time. I'm glad they kept with it... it's good for the industry. Raises awareness and hopefully increases new readership.
It was always a really fun day for both the employees AND customers.

My local shops go all out. It's absolutely fantastic! My daughter loves reading, so I'm very excited to go again with her this year!

If there is anyone here currently reading or following the current story arc for all the various Avengers comics it looks like the cover of the Avengers free comic book is a huge spoiler of what we can expect to be the result in the next few issues. This makes zero sense if you aren't reading Avengers comics right now...sorry about that! Anyways, here is the cover!
Edit: For those unfamiliar, this cover shows both Marvel Ultimate universe characters along with the standard Marvel U, which is about to go head to head in the comics right now.

Always enjoyed this when I worked at a comic shop and still do, best time to get indie stuff cause the big 3 always have lots of stuff anyways
