I was just wondering if anybody here is interested in Vinyl Records? I've come across a huge collection of around 10,000 that I've been trying to sell, so let me know if you have any interest I guess! Haha thanks everyone!

Holy crap that is a lot. Depending on what kind of music it is, I might know people. Just whatever info you can provide...I know that is a lot to go through.

I also know a few people that would be interested. It really depends on what you have. Is there a specific theme of the collection? Genre, era, etc? With that many I would think its all over the board. Any more info would help.

Yeah that's going to be a timely project- to list all 10,000, the genre, the condition, etc...

Depending on what they are I'm into rare import new wave singles, post-punk, colored vinyl, ska, reggae, down-tempo/ acid-jazz/ trip-hop...

& depending on prices... since vinyl takes up soooo much room especially after your crates start stacking up and across a whole wall, and in your closet and...etc...

I'm assuming you're seeking to sell the whole lot? or individual record lots? i would only assume you're not selling one record at a time with that sort of bulk. it might help if you have a rough idea of the the collection is comprised of, genre and era wise as Screamer and Dixiebull has already said.

if you are parting out into lots and would want to go through the hassle of searching through the collection, i'd be interested in some pretty obscure stuff, granted that its all in good condition. mainly bizarro garage/psych, heavy pscyh/proto-metal rock bands that never made it big and are essentially impossible to find the original records. not really wanting to spend a fortune but i'd pay what they're worth. here are a couple of bands i'd be interested in if for some reason you actually happen to have any of these records (though they're not truly that obscure much anymore):

Sir Lord Baltimore - Kingdom Come

Atomic Rooster - Death Walks Behind You

Lucifer's Friend - Lucifer's Friend

Flower Travellin' Band - Satori

Sainte Anthony's Fyre - Sainte Anthony's Fyre

Bulbous Creation - You Won't Remember Dying

Jerusalem - Jerusalem (UK band, this album came out in 1972 and has a templar holding a sword on it)

I collect Talking Heads and Duran Duran vinyl if you have any of those in there. I have most albums, but always looking for singles/imports.

The collection ranges through all the genres for the most part; anything from big band to country to pop of sorts to rock and roll. The years are from the forties to the eighties, and you can find nearly every label of the times. Basically there is so much of a little of everything that I was just hoping I could find an all-around music lover who could give them a home.
