Wonder Grow Monsters

apparently the "monsters" in this series are based on actual aliens "encountered" throughout the world! pretty interesting that the makers of this line chose to depict "real" aliens rather than just create a whole bunch of new ones. then again, the whole "really encountered" bit could be a put on, so who knows? unfortunately, i got stuck with some dumb little italian pod person alien from the mid 70s. anyone have any of the others?

Bumping this old topic because I did a LittleWeirdos post on these and am really interested in finding out more about the hard plastic color change versions. A few of you guys mentioned you owned some. I've personally never come across any, but would love to add some to my collection.
In addition to more details about their origins, I'd love to see any other photos that anyone can provide (of either the hard plastic or grow versions).
