A bit of a turn up, I've just acquired Splurge from the Slime Boglins in pink which I believe is the first time a Slime other than Splash has been found in this colour. Unfortunately he's damaged with the snot trail between his finger and nose snapped off, but given that he is, for the moment at least, a 1/1 discovery and that I managed to get him for a good price I'm very happy with him. I've only been able to snag some low light pictures so far as the flash was completely washing out the colours, I'll update with some daylight snaps at the weekend, but here he is with his blue and yellow brethren and a couple of other pink figures for comparison.

I've always figured it was unlikely that just the previously known sculpts in the rarity colours were produced and turning up this guy gives me hope that the other five 'undiscovered' Slimes are still out there hiding in an attic somewhere.

I'm not working this weekend so I'll grab a daylight picture on Saturday. I think the faux wood flooring downstairs as a background is probably the best match I can manage for the existing pictures on the site so I'll see how it comes out against that in the interests of consistency.

Fantastic! Did you find this on eBay?

Scratch that, you found him in a large lot:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221322749495

Then got him relisted on his own (exactly what I would have done)

http://www.ebay.co.u...n-/221327621858

So pleased this guy turned up. I've been hoping to see some different pink or orange slimes.

Yeah, I contacted the seller while the larger lot was still active and said there was one I was interested in if they didn't sell. I figured that'd give anybody else that had spotted him a fair crack and not land me with a load of doubles, although the other Slime and the Samurai in there shouldn't have been too hard to move on.

And it's not the first time I've had an offer on him. He stays with me. Far as I'm aware I've got the only collection going with two pink Slimes.

Am intrigued to know how much you paid for those slimes. Was one more than the other or were they about the same?

70 quid for Splash and a fiver for Splurge. That's the difference between a fair price between two collectors and chancing it with an eBay seller when the lot it was in didn't sell. I'm willing to front a bit on the rarity colours but given the damage to Splurge I don't think I'd have gone for it if I couldn't have got a low price. A lot of the time it's luck of the draw what you find and what people want for it. I picked up an '85 hard rubber Dust Brain Madball for 20p at a car boot the other week with near flawless paint. The last two of those that sold on eBay UK went at £35 and an accepted offer on an asking price of £40.
