Ive collected MIMP for a while, and am amazed by the prices of series 3 on ebay recently, I have 8 of those currently amongst my collection of several hundred, and am looking for more of them.

I also have around 15-16 GITD figures, of 6 different monsters. I rarely see these on ebay, what sort of prices are they worth? im not looking to sell them, was just wondering.

Also, I have a neon red Catoblepas, is this from the board game, or is it only the darker red Catoblepas from the game?

thanks

If they're the series 4/Super Scary monsters (worth 100 points each) then they're worth about as much as all the other Super Scary figures; pretty common, not a whole lot.

Interestingly, I almost never see series 4 monsters for sale, even though they're not rare by any means. I see a lot of series 1 and a handful of series 2 monsters, but hardly ever any Super Scaries. Not sure why that is, exactly. I think seeing an auction for Dinosaurs, Space Aliens or even series 3 figures is much more likely, even though those monsters are all considerably more rare and worth much more money than the Super Scaries anyway.

Anyway, if your figures are series 2 or 3 monsters and they glow in the dark, they might be some kind of weird Argentine reproduction thing I don't quite keep up on... those don't seem to go for particularly spectacular prices from what I've seen, but maybe worth a bit more than the regular first or second series monsters.

From my understanding, the GITD series 1 and 2 figures were available in Europe (not sure exactly where besides the UK but I've heard they were in other European countries as well) as a premium in some sort of cereal, much like the series 3 figures in Shreddies in Canada. They pop up pretty frequently on ebay.uk and usually fetch about $8-10 each. Hope that helps!

The only GITD figures I've even seen have been a few from series 1, usually Ghost and Cerberus, and a few from series 2, mainly Elbow Witch, Undine, Dryad, Ectoplasmic Phantom and Bloody Bones.

Series 4 figures glow yes, but arent worth more than any other series 4 figures.

As far as how much GITD figures are worth, I havent seen them too often being sold by themselves, they are mostly in lots of other figures, so therefore its hard to tell how much they are worth. As of now I would guess that you could probably get at least $20 each on eBay. Of course, prices on there have been super high lately which translates great for sellers but not so much for poor collectors.

I'm pretty sure Dark Clown sold a pair of GITD figures a while back. He might be able to fill you in on how much he got for the two of them. I'm pretty sure they were GITD Cerberus and GITD Ectoplasmic Phantom.

There aren't any MIMPs from Argentinia that GITD, Argentinia only reproduce one series 2 monster, the rest ist series 1.

Furthermore there are 6 "white" GITD figures from series 2 and 2 "white" GITD figures from series one that were produced in the UK. 2 of those figures have black face highlights and seems to be a lot rarer than the other 6 figures. 15 U$ for the normal GITD figures and about 25 U$ for the black face highlight figs seems to be the average-price (but what is average right now? -_-).

Series 4 GITD figs are worth only some bucks (~ 1 - 3U$).

Thanks for your replies. The 6 I have are from series 1, and 2. I have Cerberus, Ghost, Elbow Witch, Bloody Bones, Dryad and Undine.

edit: I also have the GITD series 4 figures, but know they are quite common. I also have series 4 figures with no painted details, that I got from Weetos cereal years ago, they are probably a little rarer than the rest of series 4 I guess?

You are right those series 4 MIMPs are more uncommon than the normal figures. The rare series 4 figures are dual-colored.

rare: dual-colored --> uncommon: mono-colored --> common: 3-colored

Im unable to get pictures, as I dont have a camera.

The only two uncoloured I still have are an all purple Drude, and an all green Wurduloc. Im sure I did have more when they were available, but traded them years ago. I also had a green Blemmyea from the game that I havent been able to find, I mustve traded it when I was younger..

DC, which of the two sculpts can be found with the black paint apps on the face?

I think its the Ancient Gorgon and the Ectoplasmic Phantom. There could be others but those are the only two I have seen.

Thats right, only these two are avaiable with black face highlights. I think I have doubles of them (for trade only).

so heres some pics of the 2 black painted gitd figures.

So anyone know where they came from? The other 6 gitd must have come from the Uk only cauldron sets (have had 3 and all had the same 6 figures) but these guys, i cant remember.
