A friend of my wife's bought a sealed copy of the NES MIMP game several years ago, and has since lost the game itself somehow. But he's pretty sure he's still got the figure tucked away somewhere, and i might be able to get it from him.

What's the going rate on one, just in case i need to make some money happen? I checked around ebay and couldn't seem to find one for sale...

I don't think it costs as much as the other Series 3 monsters, but should fetch a decent sum. But with eBay prices so inconsistent, hard to say.

I should clarify, i'm not looking to get it and then sell it.

I'm wondering that if he does find it and i'm able to convince him to part ways with it, what amount of money would be reasonable to offer, what would be a good deal, and what would be stupid. :D

Um, how close of a friend is he? :D Sometimes, you've just got to take good deals where you find them. But if you wanted to offer him an amount that'd be a steal but not crazy-stupid... ten, fifteen dollars?

I was REALLY lucky and got mine in a huge lot of 85 figures from eBay.uk for only like, $33 shipped. I've seen them go for as high as $133 and as low as $54.

There is one up right now on eBay.it It's at $13 U.S. dollars with 13 hours left.

I'd say $40-$50 is a safe offer. They almost always go for more than that so you're getting a good deal if it's a figure you want and they're getting a decent sum for it so you're not ripping them off or anything.

That auction I listed went for $63. I agree with Barry, $40-$50 is an offer that works out well for both sides.

I love the question that was posed to the seller in this auction.
