I got a bag of BB Weapons and noticed one stuck out. It's Buffalos Weapon but it's a dark grey not gold.Anyone know if this is a rare variant or just a Greek BB Weapon.I got some pics, but very hard to show the color difference. Here they are.

Beyond the weapons that came with the recently discovered BdC bootlegs in Spain (which were slightly smaller and black) or rubber repros from a few figs Nilla has made I'm not aware of any BB reproduction weapons floating around.

Perhaps it's one of the Greek or BdC weapons? I know those came in different colors but I don't own any myself

Kind of hard to say from that pic, the color could also just be the faded/aged version of the original color

yeah I think other than those it's much more common to see LB repros, just because they're much harder to find and worth reproducing. Marty has done them, as had some mystery person in China at some point. BB weapons though just aren't worth the trouble I think

When it comes to BB Weapons so far you don´t have to be worried about reproductions (yet) since like Bachamn mentioned above for these it doesn´t really pay of for those who produce them since although some can be harder to find they cannot be compared with the rareness/prices of the LB guns.

Concerning the issue discussed here there´s not a lot to say about it without having a little bit more background info since the condition of the picture ain´t really strong to see a solid difference and/or to verify that its a weapon that might belong to the Greek BB (GBB) or the Spanish Bestias de Combate.

At this moment I´d say its not related to either GBB or BDC since the Greek weapons are normally much lighter than the original BB weapons while the BDC are a bit darker but they´re showing a deeper gold color.

That said I´ve had quite some weapons in hand over time and I can remember having seen a similar difference with the Buffalo weapon but also among other brown Serie 1 weapons probably due to aging and or the fact its somehow been effected by an external influence. So for now my guess is that it would be a normal BB weapon which somehow has changed a little in color.

But with more background info about the origin of your bag of weapons and a better pic we might be able to tell a little more.

Well if there are other BB around it might be possible a GBB or BDC weapon got mixed up somehow because its not always easy to keep them apart under poor light conditions etc. so in order to give you a good answer a daylight pic together with another loose normal brown BB weapon, in case you don´t have another Buffalo one loose, is needed.

Still think its not GBB or BDC related though because the influence of simple external factors which might result in a change of color are not always spotted right away, like the ´rare´ colored Bison I found a long time ago (there´s still a topic around in the BB area) in which the figure had been faced with chloride water for a period of time causing the colors to change. So a simple thing such as water, sunlight or even a little while in or under the sand for such a small item being lost for instance can cause the changes which are not always explainable by looking into other lines.

Its just a normal weapon. The gold ones can turn green for some reason. Don't know if its sunlight or just a bad batch.  I have a few that are this color.
