Any more info on these Kinkeshi I found?

Best Answer Ericnilla , 26 May 2015 - 10:13 PM

There isnt a full archive more all the kinkeshi that exist. We've made ones here on the board for the 4" and 6", but there are so many different types that are the regular size.

This site has pics of a few different versions.

Grabbed a random bin of toys and they had some Kinkeshi in them this time. But they seem to be from different lines. Anyone know anymore info on some of these?

I'm actually not sure about this last one since there are no markings. Maybe just a generic wrestling figure? Here are some sizes if that helps:

1. 4cm

2. 3.5cm

3. 4cm

4. 3cm

5. 3.5cm

6. 3.5cm

7. 3cm

8. 5cm

9. 3cm

10. 5cm

11. 3cm

12. 2.5cm

Number 12 is muscle #55, skyman. So certainly not a generic wrestling figure; probably one of those chibi kinkeshi figures, but I don't know enough about kinkeshi to be sure. I could tell you the corresponding muscle figures name and number on each of the figures that have a muscle version, but that would be about it and not be much help I'm afraid. I'll let someone on here with the right knowledge tackle this, I know it can done!

I'm probably most curious about #11. Can't really tell if it's supposed to be like a finger puppet, or if it was just a part of some multi piece figure.

Anyways, thanks for the info so far guys. Miles ahead of where I was when I first posted it. I was just pouring through lists at first trying to at least ID them by name.

#11 is a finger puppet from its own set, i have a few myself. #10 is missing its hard plastic body, most likely in light blue or red. #8 is legit and from a funky weird set, it was bootlegged with wrestlers heads swapped on them.

Oh crap! I had a little bag of crap I couldn't match up. Is this that missing piece?

Is there a decent single source that I could peruse so I could match the characters up to their respective lines?

Does something like that even exist? I've seen various checklists uploaded on here, but I haven't been able to find like a single authority website with a full catalog online anywhere.

Thanks for the info!

I'm attempting to dip my feet in kinkeshi collecting, but I have a feeling I'll chicken out due to how overwhelming it is.

My approach now is "Oh, that sculpt is cool, I want it." I rarely actually know the name of the characters I'm buying or which series or line they are from.

Awesome! I can see him at the bottom. So this is bootleg set? Or just something that's super obscure?

Its an official set, other than the main 418 gacha set. There were many separate unique sets of varying sizes and quality.
