Does anyone still play PsONe Games?? I feel like in my circle of coworkers and friends etc. I'm the only one with a PsOne games collection. Most of them play the newer systems or PC games.

I love PsOne games and have a great collection stretching from my high school days to present time. Whenever i see a game at a yard sale or thrift store that I want to play or just have in my collection I usually pick it up.

I have a Wii, but I feel I play my PsOne and (and PS2 games) much much more. I still have plenty of games to get to in my collection (such as FFVII), so I enjoy finding them and playing them. Does anyone else here on LRG have the same love for PsOne Games as I do??

I have a decent 2d collection of PSone games. I've recently downloaded an emulator so I can try some of my backlog at work during downtime.

Wizard pretty much sums up what gamers are mostly playing.

Funny thing is Jesse I don't have any of those games! Lol I do have crash team racing which is a crash bandicoot Mario kart rip off.

Hah, tell you the truth i kind of saw that coming... i dont have very common taste of games, some new games i play though are popularish... Bf 3, Gta v and shit. Im kind of fine with the oldies cause i dont have time/intrest to play alot and cause console starts fast and you can easily play 10 minutes in a row and do whatever you want for two hours and play again. Console wont turn by itself unlike xbox260

Do you play your PSone games actually on a PSone, or do you play them on your PS2 (when stuff was more backwards compatible)?

I played my PsOne games on a PsOne originally. We got at PsOne my junior year of high school and we played that sucker into the ground. We also went through 2 PS2's. I have a slim PS2 that I bought over 10 years  years ago, and it still works pretty great. It just doesnt read some of my PsOne memory cards. I have a larger PS2 that reads my PsOne games perfectly (and the memory cards) but doesn't read PS2 games.

Anyways heres my list of PsOne games. Some are complete, others are disc only.  I love the games on this system! Tomb Raider and Resident Evil 2 are two of my most favorite games of all time.

Ill have to check that out. Ive found American RPG's in a variety of places. I found Dragon Warrior VII (Complete) at a local thrift store. My copy of FFVIII was mint complete from the same thrift store. I also found Legend of Dragoon at a yard sale. Nice copies of American PsOne RPGs are out there, even in the most random of places.

Actually nice copies of any PsOne games are out there

If I can find the time. I play street fighter alpha 3 in short burst. Even better if I can get 2 players. Pretty much the only ps1 game I play since the past year.

Surprisingly the original psp emulates ps1 games pretty damn well. Makes sense I suppose.

Parasite eve and Tomba are 2 games that spring to mind. MDK and Jojo's bizzare adventure are definitely contenders.

I really appreciate finding psone games in the wild. Found these for 3 bucks each at a local thrift store. I already had a green label tomb Raider but I've been looking an original black label one for awhile

When I finally got around to buying a PS3 I was pleased to discover there are quite a few really good PS1 and PS2 games available on the Playstation Store...  That way I don't have to worry about lugging my old systems out of storage or scratched disks!

You don't anyways.

Some PS3 systems will play both PS2 and PS games.

I have a slim console that doesn't play PS2 titles, but it does work with PS titles.
