Yeah, I'm not too excited about this, since I pretty much played the first one to death. It was fun though.

The graphics for this one looks pretty good.

What every happened to that StarCraft Ghost game they were supposed to make?

Ghost got canned, although I don't know all the circumstances behind that. It was in a recent Game Informer issue I was reading about the best canceled games.

the reason i remember reading about the cancellation was that they were so unhappy with how it was turning out and had spent so much money on it already they decided to just cut and run.

Blizzard even bought out the company that had been working on Ghost.

Until they say the discs are gold I am not going to worry about it. Blizz doesn't release a game until it is done even if that means years and years of delays.

Once the game is gold though. It may be one of the few games I pick up for retail price. The price of Blizzard games hold for some time.

Yeah, I'm not too excited about this, since I pretty much played the first one to death.

Hm, for me, Starcraft is in the same category as chess, Tetris, or even a good game of three-on-three basketball. In other words, it's not really a game you play for a month or two and then never return to. In fact, the replayability of Starcraft is the main reason I like it so much. My nephew and I usually get a good game going every couple months.

SC II looks to have all the great replayability as the first with insanely better graphics and with many new vehicles, abilities, and features.

I pre ordered the game from Amazon and got a beta invite.

I am trying to make my way through some previously purchased games. If I start playing now I know I won't be playing anything else for some time.

So I am probably not going to use it.

Does anyone have any interest in buying the code for the beta? If so Pm me.

Huge Starcraft fan here ^_^

I had overlooked this thread!
Starcraft 2 is shaping up nicely and now there is finally a release date: 27th July!

I would definitely be interested in playing some multiplayer. In the meantime if
anyone wants a blast on Starcraft I would be up for it.

Well considering that Starcraft II will now be released in 3 chunks (Blizzard have
thought this through pretty well I think). Reducing overall 'waiting' time plus charging
people three times is a great money spinner, especially if you splash out on the
collectors edition!

http://www.amazon.co...s...6108&sr=8-1

Wings of Liberty: Terran Campaign being the first. I think we can expect it to be for
real this time... I have the 'hope' flag flying :)

The latest on the campaign seems like it is coming along nicely...
http://www.teamliqui...topic_id=121072

Multiplayer beta testing has gone through several patches up to 13 now. The latest
from Soupie Browder is that they are really concentrating on just getting it in the hands
of the consumer. I think we can expect release as stated but there will be endless changes
to the multiplayer with ongoing balancing (not too different to the original in this regard).

I like that there are units available in the single player campaign that won't be in the
multiplayer option. Old faves like the Firebat and Goliath for example. I am wondering
what the Zerg and Protoss campaign will have to offer... Lurkers? Reavers?

Divide & conquer works because of attachments people make to push-button issues, individual "leaders," parties, clans, tribes, policies, or agendas, leaving them open to manipulation.

I am currently ranked in the Platinum league. Have you played multiplayer SpectreSuperSix5?

I haven't played any multiplayer yet, been chipping away at the single player story instead. It's on the list of things to do though.

In the first SC, I tended to play Protoss the most in multiplayer. I loved their cannons and cruisers. Most of the time I played with friends and we rotated races to compliment each other in multiplayer games, so I can play with all 3.

Currently I am placed in the Diamond league with my Terran play. Tried Zerg for abit
and managed to get knocked down to rank 99, ouch! I will need to practice with them
more for multiplayer, they are perhaps the race I would like to get good with.

Protoss have some great strategies this time around. Losing to a Void Ray rush
has to be the most frustrating thing ever!

Check out this Starcraft II promo my housemate secured for me:

His legs are not in shot as I have it tucked behind something to lie flat against the
wall. It can be freestanding though, height around 6 foot, awesome!
