I love the Simpsons as much as the next person.
And I love toys (maybe more than the next person).
So why should I not start collecting the Simpsons figures? During work I see them all over the place. Professor Frink, Fat Tony, etc. All of these fun characters.
BUT (isn't there always one of these? -unless of course you are a farmer who was mangled in an unfortunate thresher accident and left but-free...)
a friend of mine tells me to "Forget it. there are WAY too many figures." so i have been trying to find a list of all the figures they have made so far. Is there a Bumblebee Man figure? or a Duff Man figure? Just how many are there?
I figured this would be a fairly easy list to find. But i am having trouble. so does anyone collect these or know a good website where i can simply find out what has been produced and not the webmaster's opinion on the show's writing or the quality of the plastic?

I'm thinking i'll just get a few of my favorite figures....... but isn't that how it always starts? :woot:

Here ya go! This looks like all of them:

http://figures.nohom...ew_figures.html

It looks like there are 84(!) basic figures. It will be a challenge if you decide to collect a whole set, not only because of the sheer number of figures, but also because there are so many exclusives. And, some of the toys (like the Treehouse of Horror set) go for a pretty penny. Good luck!

yeah they are great and i always think how awesome it would be to collect them but i am so cynical i just know i couldn't collect them all. my brother in law loves them so every so often i'll pick one up for him. trouble is he keeps them in mint condition sealed behind a layer of plastic on a pretty coloured cardboard card. :woot:

thanks nathan, that website was just what i was looking for.
but the amount of toyfare exclusives or short packed figures etc. is a little overwhelming. and i discovered that some of my fav guys, the pin pals, are some of the most expensive.
but maybe i can get them cheaper if they are out of the box or off the card. how can you play with them if they are encased in plastic? hmm, have to give this a little more thought. wouldn't be able to get started until after the holidays....
they ARE about 5-7 dollars for the basic figures. but i'll let everyone know how it goes, if it does go.
