Large MIMP collection - How should I sell them?

Best Answer fkro6784 , 13 February 2016 - 08:45 AM

What were you asking for the lot?

I see mostly common figures, which when sold as part of a large lot, typically pull in less than $1 each. However, there are a few that are worth more:

- Blue Jabberwock (I still need this if you want to sell separately)

- Neon purple Cockatrice

- Red Catoblepas (came exclusive to the Monster Clash game)

- Yellow Kali (exclusive to the Monster Clash game)

I'm thinking of selling my MIMP collection from when I was a kid.

I did list them on Ebay previously, but didn't sell (guess cause of postage).

What are they worth?  And what's the best way to sell them?  In bulk or as separate figures?

I also have the Monster Clash set, complete and in box.  Though the box is pretty battered.  Is that worth anything?Attached File  DSC_0103.JPG   70.85K   60 downloads

Ebay you  would get the most exposure, but you could also sell them here and avoid Ebay's fees.  You just need to list a price when you do.  I'm more of a MUSCLE guy - and I don't know enough about values of MIMP.  What I would imagine though is that it's probably 75 cents - $1 each on AVERAGE. However, there are the odd sculpt and colors that can command more than that... unfortunately I don't know which those higher price figures are so that is a question better left for someone else on the board.

Typically when you see large lots go for lots of money on Ebay, it's not because each figure is worth a lot, rather the discerning collecter/ bidder sees some of those choice figures in the lot and there by it drives up the price overall.

If you can find out if any of your figures are some of the more desired ones overall, I would recommend pulling those out and selling them as individuals.  THEN I would just take all the common figures and list them in a big lot on Ebay.  It really just depends on how much time you want to invest in selling stuff.  Do it all at once?  Or bits and pieces.

Good luck!!

It was a while ago, so can't remember my asking price.  Probably nothing major.

So probably best to list those 4 separately on ebay or the to buy section on here, then the rest as a bulk?  Though i may split them into a few lots to minimalise postage.

PM me an offer if there's any you want.

I think you would be best doing just that. List the rarer ones separately and break the rest up in lots of 6-10, dividing up any duplicate sculpts. This would probably be best if listed here or on eBay.

If you are interested in moving them more quickly start the smaller ebay lots at 0.99 or list them all here at $1 a piece and let all the fine members here have their choosing.
