I saw this over at Toyark, link below.  Interesting and very curious to see what they come out with.  Does this mean Minikins are done with or will Funko introduce something else.  I like some of the toys that Funko has done so I'll keep a close eye on this one.

It doesn't mean anything of the sort. Minikins aren't going anywhere... Funko didn't buy the rights, just a license. Look for GPK vinyl stuff, but that doesn't mean anything about Topps giving up their cash cow.

Vinyls would be cool. I'm not a huge Pop! fan but there have been some that I've liked and bought.

Not sure what sells were like for minikins series 2 but would like to see series 3 for sure. If minikins are dead will Topps continue with new card packs?

topps, yes, will continue card packs no question. they can't churn them out fast enough. people buy them in droves. no end to the madness for cards.

Yeah we will most likely see GPK Pop! Vinyls, maybe some kind of ReAction figures and Mystery Minis which are all stylistically different then Minikins (should they continue)

I still wanna hold out hope for Minikins series 3, though it seems like the consensus is I'd be wasting my breath. -_-

Dunno.  The gravity feeders I came across (includeing series 2) were consistently low or emptly.  Truth be told, I did not get to collect as much series2 as I would have liked because of limited availability.  At least in my area.  I did find a few 4 packs in a ShopKo Hometown a month ago.

On the whole this was my experience too but I did manage to find a couple of full or near full gravity feeds and snatched up the whole thing. I did have better luck with the 4-packs though and have plenty of extra figures from Series 2 that I'm willing to sell if you're interested.

Right now GPK is just below the radar of pop culture. I'm afraid that Funko is going to ruin the appeal for me, especially if they give them that nu-design look that the mystery minis and pop vinyls have.
Kind of a bummer that the minikins are dead :(

If Funko does well with their take(s) on GPK, then you can bet we will also see more Minikins.

Meh. They look more like custom dunnys than mystery minis. Maybe they'll look better in 3D.

meh...good selection of characters, but when one of the greatest charms of a line is its specific body style, an item like this takes that away.  while its cool to see, I have zero interest in actually buying any.

I was coming here to add the same basic picture. I hated the concept art, but love the finished products.  Most of them anyhow.

Really Big Mystery Minis? I wonder how mysterious they can be in packaging when they are that big. But yeah they look great.

I need to look into this particualr set; I've been seeing a slight uptick in local collectors wanting old fun card stuff like GPK and the like.
