Ok, I have been asked by a couple of guys recently to make some Bad Eggz customs.

Couple questions...

#1 Who would be interested in them if they were $10-$15 ea.? (depends on how much time they take to mold and how detailed/undercuts)

#2 Who has a large # of the different characters that would loan them to me to mold? (molding will do no damage to the originals)

* Note a custom of each figure will be given to the person loaning them to me to mold.

Please post here IF this is of any interest to collectors and/or if you are a collector that would be willing to loan them.

hmm, i could easily spend over a thousand bux to get a set of originals, taking the chance that they wont be perfect or colors i like. and thats if they can be found.....
OR i can get a set in custom colors & in flawless condition for about $250-$300????


count me in on at least 1 set and probably some more!

Nope, not feasible...sorry guys, that rubbery plastic I used to use way back is a pain in the rear. It is super messy (totally gacks up my molds), takes too long to fully cure 24 hours vs. less than 2 hours w/ the other stuff), and is expensive too. Sorry.

I will only be making hard plastic ones.

As far as the loaners, I am going to try to borrow for 1-2 guys. I think I have had 2 guys contact me that are willing to loan me a bunch. How many exactly are in a complete set? I really need to have a complete set to do this, because what would be the point of molding 75%-95% of them and not all...

I used to have a photo from the Toy Fair Galoob catalog I had, but, I sold that catalog to Pooyabee a long while ago and I can't find the photo. I posted it here on the forum back then, not sure if it is still posted.

yeah i'm with them... if they were soft i would probably buy a set, but not feeling the hard plastic. might buy 1 or 2 tho.

but i totally understand Marty. my small experience with molding and customs made me realize really quick i wasnt one to have the patience with it.

I would still have a set though!! Just if i had the choice the soft rubber would be preferable. Would they be the hardness of the claw customs etc? what sort of colours would be available?

Absolutely any color you can imagine...colors aren't an issue, just the plastic. It really isn't time/cost efficient for me to use the flexible plastic and especially for $10-$15 per figure.

24 huh...well I wonder how many out of the 24 collectors can come up w/ for molding.

I would definitely be interested in one or two, since the odds of getting an original look very slim. I'm particularly interested in Eggasaurus if someone gets it to you Marty, Eggface if not, and maybe others.

I actually just found one light silver Xar custom (very last one, because the mold is long gone) in my scrap figure container (he has a few ultra tiny air bubbles that could be filled and painted over).

There won't be any air bubbles once I fill them and paint it.
