After reorganizing my colored Kinkeshi and my IKEA Detolf's, the entire 418 vintage collection now looks like this on display :)

4 shelves make up the vintage line; not all respective colors fit in my bookshelf (I had some left over Blues, Green & Reds that did not fit from the later Parts).

So I left them in the 4th shelf along with the later Parts 26, 27, 28, 29 & 30.

The "Holy Grail" is to have all 418 in Flesh...

I almost have two complete sets of the vintage 418 Kinkeshi collection since I have some Parts double in different colors (especially Part 27 for example).

If I ever complete a 2nd set it would look phenomenal on display in the Kinikku Colosseum.

Incredible!

I can't even imagine how much time and money you have put into this.

I think I spent like 8-10 years tracking down my set and it pales in comparison to yours. No trips to Mandarake unfortunately :( but lots of bulk lots purchased off YJP.

Incredible collection and very awesome of you to catalog all of this for the group! :)

Thank you!

Thank You jkaris/LRG! I dont even want to think about the time and money spent (haha)

Of course collecting and investment of time/money are intertwined but those are not the reasons why we all love to collect.

I really love collecting Kinkeshi/LRGs. It's kinda how I decompress from teaching/my job as a freelancer (by cataloging, arranging my collection, pictures etc)

I had a chance to redisplay my vintage Yellow Kinkeshi and no longer being able to fit them in one glass shelf; I now have them in my bookshelf.

I have 188/418 Yellow Kinkeshi total (these are a lot more difficult to complete and come by than the Blue, Green or Red Kinkeshi).

From those 188, I would say 5 are Pachi/Bootleg and the other 183 are legit (once I come across the real deal I will replace them).

New additions: Vintage Kinkeshi Gashapon of Part 17 & Part 18 (severe melting on the capsule & I had to take the Kinkeshi out to let them breathe out; it probably "devalues" the Gashapon but I want to conserve bozh capsule & Kinkeshi as much as possible):

While scrolling through Nama Nikus instagram, one of his current Japan pictures had a display case from a store with vintage Kinkeshi and cloning007 asked how do they got them to stand: Double sided tape was the answer! So simple!

One of the biggest problems I have at the moment is space, I hate not displaying my collection and having stuff stored away.

So I decided to buy some double sided tape and it has been a space saver, a while back I acquired some extra brackets for my IKEA Detolf display cases which add extra shelves/space.

The acrylic cases look cooler but I want to display as much of my collection as possible.

I need to get more acrylic shelves but already I can display one full 418 KInkeshi collection, my 2nd almost complete 418 collection & I am beginning to add the Green Kinkeshi.

Even then I still have room for more! They don't damage the Kinkeshi or shelves (the tape comes off easily) but it's a laborious task to get them all on the tape (not all figures stand perfectly).

But it's still cool looking regardless!
