Rendering Keshi Gomu With Metallic Surfaces

I've been 3D scanning hundreds of keshi figures over at my KeshiCorner twitter and youtube channels.  One of the really fun things about having these digitized is you can try out a bunch of different materials on them in 3D modeling programs.

 

Here's a few examples of Super Mario Bros. 3 keshi from 1988 that I've applied a tarnished metallic material to:

If you hadn't said anything I'd assume these were vintage metal keshi, they look so close to the Pokémon ones I own!

You're right, they really do look like those metallic (pewter?) Pokemon keshi!  I guess this is a fun "what could have been" look into an alternate timeline with Mario Bros 3 metal keshi
