It's just lazy.
It's cute. Sometimes amalgams of pop culture work, and sometimes they don't. Figures AREN'T terrible - perhaps a little too clean if that makes sense. What surprises me is all the other stuff. Even though I'll never pick up the figs - I get the appeal. The stickers, coloring book, posters etc... are a little much.
