I decided that moving forward I will no longer be trying to finish my Colored Master set. I am going to sell off what I have already collected. The question I have is how should I do it?I personally was thinking selling it off by colors...,but any suggestions would be a big help.

when i sold mine, i just sold in one huge chunk(around 1100 figures).....you will certainly get more cash  the more you break it down.....but i was lazy so i just chose doing it that way. depends on how much time you want to take to get rid of it.

I guess it depends on what you want out of the sale. One big lot is the easiest for you, but it probably limits potential participation from buyers. Isolating things like class As and popular sculpts will get you the most money if that is what you are after. You could then break up the rest into medium lots. Probably the best strategy is to set aside all your Sunshines and reserve them for people who live in your state.

Not that it's any of my business exactly, but what made you decide to get out now? As a relatively new MUSCLE collector, but long time other-toy collector, I am curious about the cycles that have been happening. For a year there was very little "high roller" action, but in the last month or two there has been some serious movement.

Thank you

Aaaah, it looks so good all lined up in colors and stacked up though!

I agree with BadLarry, you will certainly maximize your value by selling it in smaller increments. Like anything, the more work you put into the effort, the larger the return.

Although I am willing to make it easier for you by buying all of your #214 Robin Mask, #193 Cobra Satan, #195 Sunshine Spinner, #221 New Sunshine, #15 Sunshine Arch, #3 Sunshine, and #162 Announcer in any and all colors!

But seriously, if you scour the boards for collectors of certain sculpts and sell those all off at max value, sell any Class As on eBay (they are hot right now it seems), and the remaining in medium to smaller lots you would probably make out best for the most effort.  Or drop it off in one big swoop and get less money, but save lots of time and work.

I am always looking for more Robin Mask #214, Sunshine, Announcer, Claw, and Parthenon - MUSCLE or KESHI of any type!

Sell off the A's individually, leaving any doubles in the color lots.
Pull ashuramons/sunshines and sell those as two individual group lots (again doubles staying in the color lots).
Then sell the rest in whole color lots... With specific pics of ashuramons, class A's, sunshines In your listing.

My 2¢

Cheers bud, D.

You've got a salmon 224 in the orange bin.
There are plenty of muscle heads here that would gladly offer to buy anything you have. Selling the A'S off would be the best way to maximize profit. Also selling a few A'S in a small lot seems to really bring out the bidders. When a buyer feels as though they might be able to get a decent deal they are more willing to bid...in my opinion

Take out all the class A's & list them one by one on ebay

Then make as many complete sets as you can with what's left keeping the count by color per set as even as you can.

Sell me one of those sets.

Thanks!

Can anyone confirm or deny if Meatcutta78 started selling anything via PM or otherwise? I might want to get in on this if he's still considering selling.
