Good evening, all. I wonder if you could please help me identify these.
I was going through some old family photos and found this. They were definitely purchased in 1986 or 87 (probably at a drug store). It was a thin box, about the dimensions of a child's paperback book.
I know the photo of the figures themselves may tempt some folks to say that they're potentially Monster In My Pocket, but they're not. Whatever these are, they came out a few years before MIMP.
I suspect that they're knockoff Muscle figures, but I can't say for sure. You can see a very blurry logo on one of the box photos, but I wasn't able to match it to anything after a few hours of searching.
I haven't been much of a "serious" collector - I just buy them if I see them for a fair price at flea markets or yard sales - so I don't really know much about MUSCLE or any of the various knockoffs (other than I liked playing with them as a kid, and I still find them to be pretty cool as an adult). I don't have these toys anymore - just a few blurry photos (attached).
I'm hopeful that someone out there might recognize the box and know what toy line these are from. Thank you very much in advance.
Sorry, I'm not sure if I attached the photo correctly - here is a link: https://twitter.com/...1635969/photo/1
