Hi, the last News:

 

-Official prices are now fixed.

-Each shield wil be limited at 99 Ex.

-The online store opens his doors and the sales will start for everyone in 14 days around now.

-All "Uppers" shields will be revealed in the next 14 days.

 

-Also because I got many request I can announce officially: REPROS of the vintage sleds are now planned and will be available at the same time than the 3x Exclusive colored ones already announced (all coming in August).

 

-And I can announce that I will start an LRG members "Contest" in the next weeks on this board: The winner will gain FREE items

I will explain all details when I will be ready to start it

To identify the Sleds Repros to the vintage ones I am adding a little "®" symbol engraved at the bottom of all sleds produced.

Your basically turning all Laser Beasts into Shield Battlers now. The Shield Battler-6 are now going to be the Shield Battler-36 eventually. Sounds good to me.

Last News: I took a little delay because I do not have all my stickers in hands, for now only the FULL SET of Repro shields is ready /x12 (in few hours you will see some lots pop-up on the Bay).

For the Lower wave finally I have to push a little the sales and the opening of my webstore by the same way at the first week of August (because I am waiting all the stickers).

 

Also I can show you the Upper wave now

The color choice is Purple.

We choose this color because regarding the Battle Beasts color weapons, the figures #01 to #09 are coming with grey/silver weapons (start of the line/ same color choosen for the Lower shields), the figures #29 to #40 are coming with golden weapons (middle of the line/ the color of the vintage shields) and the figures #65 to #76 are coming with purple weapons.

Because the upper wave is the last one, the logic was to do like for the last BB's wave figures: Purple.

Well the point is that repro release focuses on Laser Beasts and not Battle Beasts and that used purple colour is weird to me.

Personally I would have gone with the following logic:

 

Laser Beasts #77 to #100 have Silver weapons and the existing shields in the vintage line were Bronze colored. So I guess that I would have gone for Bronze shields for all of these guys ie Lower Wave and "Repro" Wave

 

Laser Beasts #101 to #112 have Bronze weapons. To me it would have been coherent to make the shields in Silver color.

 

I am pretty excited by the release of the "European 6" repro and the Lower Wave and I will definitely take them.

I was really hoping to also add a shield to my Skull Grotess, King Buster or Slag King but I am afraid that with that purple colour I will have to pass

I can totally see the logic behind it and the ventured choice for the purple color but its not the color you'd expect to appear amongst the LB. Like Jawa said its hard to imagine the most cool figs of the whole line IMHO like Kickback, Grotess, Reefer and a few others from the last 12 holding a purple shield. The color combination wouldn't be a huge succes I'm affraid. Its important to notice here that the small and slim weapons of the BB were of a totally different size and impact on the total view of a complete figure while the size of the shield, covering up almost 80% of the figure, is way more present which makes the chosen color even a bigger issue. Its a risky decission to be honest choosing for the purple eventhough its clear were its comming from.

I really like the purple! Growing up the purple weapons of the BB were, in my mind, made of a super cool space metal! I can't wait for these!

The color choice for the Upper's wave was hard to definite and I know that a shield purple is a little bit strange when we look at him (because Silver or Bronze/gold are the first colors occuring to us).

 

 

...But I can do something better to have all collectors happy about the colors:

 

I can sell the UPPER's wave in 2 different colors and you'll can simply choose the color you are prefering for your collection (purple or bronze/golden)

I have just on my side to order to my factory more Bronze/golden quantities, easy.

 

Also, I can do the same thing for the lower wave if some of you are interested: Silver or Bronze/golden. (for the ones wanting all the shields bronze/golden in their collections)

 

In the next days I will picture to you two New sets and you will let me know your feeling about these: Bronze/golden Lower's and Upper's waves.

I was a bit thrown off by the purple shield color, but after explaining the logic behind it,  it made sense to me and it too started to grow on me. I feel it was a good choice to go with purple because after all their are 3 sled colors, so their should be 3 sets of shield colors as well.

FANtomCore, do not worry, I am keeping the Purple color in the plan (they are already produced), I will just add "Bronze/Golden" colors in a new limited run for the ones prefering them like that.

On my side I am also prefering the New colors but in Bronze/Golden they are looking good also, I just took pictures of them:

Those look cool too! I'm curious to see the purple, though I was a bit skeptical as well at first.

 

It's nice to know that I can get a bronze set too if the purple is overbearing visually.

It is difficult to take good pictures of the purple ones because I am using two "white light" spots and they are looking a little bit flashies on my images but in reality the color is more darker.

Here is an other picture with a soft light used, it is more like the true color is:
