I've had this Blackstar Tongo Little Rubber Guy for awhile now and haven't came across any others. He's not an eraser, 2.5" tall and his marks on his back say 'Hong Kong ©1984 Filmation Assoc.'

I did come across this pic online that shows a few other figures (yellow and blue).

Attached File  bc1b7in.jpg   26.96K   129 downloads

Just wondering if anyone else on the board has some Blackstar guys~?

I think that the figure you own might be different than the figures in that other photo. I own the blue Neptul from that photo; I think he's taller than your figure, and I don't think he has the text on the back which your figure has. I need to double-check both of those facts, but I remember my monochromatic Neptul as being about 4 inches tall. A friend of mine owns a yellow version of the bat-man (whatever it's name is).

I'll try, but I'm afraid that my backlog of pending photos is years long. In fact, I'm beginning to wonder whether it'd be possible for me to ever photograph all my toys. My home is nearly bursting at the seams with collectibles, including thousands and thousands of toys. Only a fraction of my MIMP collection has ever been photographed, considerably less than 0.01% of my other toys have ever been photographed, and almost none of my non-toy collectibles have ever been photographed.
The few toy photos I have taken can be found here: http://www.flickr.co...57626109044015/

As a personal favor to you, though, I will--at the very least--check to see whether my figure is the same as yours. I'll check the height, and I'll check the back for text (like on yours). Cheers!

Judging by the Battle Beast I'd say those Blackstar lrg are closer to 2.5 than 4 inches. Do let us know if you find a full size version of these sculpts though as they are pretty cool.

Wow, now that there's a really nice picture I'm pretty blown away.

I'd love an inexpensive set of customs. (I assume actually buying a set would be a huge pain in the ass.)

I thought I had the figures mentioned earlier, but I don't. Same body sculpt with different face on at least one. Pretty strange.

Those are Space Ace, bootlegs of the Blackstar figures. They are smaller.

So I'm not sure the figs I posted in the pic are space ace.

They are larger than space ace and have similar but different sculpts.

If you look at the orange fig I posted it is distinctly different than the similar space ace fig that can be seen in yellow in this post:

http://www.littlewei...-revisited.html

But from what I can tell they are also not Blackstar....

Is it a 3rd line of figs or am I missing something?

Yes, I agree. I have many Space Ace and Blackstar minifigs and the sculpts you have posted above appear to be extremely similar but different—perhaps from a 2nd series of Space Ace?

Whatever they are they're hella cool!

Ok, so I have been researching this a lot in the past week and haven't gotten too far in terms of what the internet has to offer.

I have 25 figures in this 'style' now with one more on the way and comparing them all is pretty interesting. It has also presented more questions than answers.

Next week once I get the other figure in I think I'm going to start a thread detailing my attempts to learn about these dudes as well as my collection. This has turned into a research project instead of just a collection.

I have 2 extra Blackstar guys and 1 extra space ace that I can trade for figs that I don't have.

Of course I am willing to pay top dollar for guys from these series.

Even if you have them and aren't willing to sell can you please post a pic so I can continue to figure more out?  Please use something for scale in the pics if you are willing to do so!
