Was going to look at a vintage Star Wars collection at a storage unit on Monday... kind of hit me, I would have no realistic way of knowing what would be a fair offer. You know, in the event that I could and would want to make an offer on the lot.

Do we have a resident Star Wars collector who could eyeball a collection and make sure there's no super hard to find, or big money pieces in there if I got pics? Maybe an idea of what a fair offer might be given condition and what not? Or is there an easy spot to get a crash course in pricing these so I can just sit down and do some figuring?

Any help would be appreciated :)

Thanks,

Luke

Sort of the opposite of that, he's getting rid of and I want to make an offer. Sounds kind of like he's wanting to get rid of the lot though. The lot includes a bunch of stuff from different lines. I just want to maybe make an offer for the vintage Star Wars stuff though.

I bought a huge bag of vintage Star Wars figures from a car boot for next to to nothing and made quite a large chunk of change on them. In the process I joined a forum (full of chumps it turned out) but I did pick up some basic info on what was what and which figures were more valuable than others. I'm by no means an expert, but I'd be happy to glance at the pics, even if it's just roughly to tell you what's there. I know that the 'Last 17' figures fetch the highest prices, plus anything mint on card.

For most vintage Star Wars stuff you'll get something for it, but it's all about condition. Missing a sticker. Worth Less. No box. Worth less. Even with carded, sealed stuff condition is everything. So just go as low as possible. And highlight all the problems.

The last 17, like Yak Face - http://www.rebelscum...VINtYakface.asp , are worth the most when they are loose. The only think worth looking for on loose, vintage items is a double telescoping lightsaber: http://theswca.com/lexicon/dt.html
