I found a couple of guys from what I assume is the Shreddies giveaway (as I never collected MIMP beyond a tertiary interest, I'm unfamiliar with the franchise for the most part). (I'd show pictures, but my Photobucket is acting up and won't upload images from my phone properly)

Anubis (30 points)- bright lime green. Kind of a dark spot/burn mark on his nose that obscures detail.

Jimmy Squarefoot (20 points)- bright orange. Numerous tiny black dots on his back, and one on his nose (is that common with MIMP figures?)

Both are very soft rubber. I've seen variations of them go for quite a bit on eBay- generally $40-80 USD ($100 Canadian for some of them). Are certain colors worth more. I'd imagine the little marks might hurt the value. I also probably wouldn't sell them online- I don't have PayPal (long story), and I'm not sure I want to go through the travails of selling on eBay (I have an account, but just use it for buying). I'd probably just sell it to a local buyer/seller (here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) who'd probably re-sell them for higher elsewhere.

You should add your general location to your post so that maybe someone around you can get a hold of you and strike a deal.

Oh, sorry- I wasn't sure how that kind of thing is done. Like I said, I don't know much about online buying/selling beyond buying stuff on eBay- you'd have to explain the whole process to me :). My initial plan was just to sell to some local seller (there's a couple in close range here). I'm in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

A bit far from me! I'm in the GTA here in Ontario.

(How is that forest fire going? I haven't heard about it in a little while and forgot to check back in about it.)

I would honestly suggest moving them here, or on the facebook group Mini Figure Marketplace. You'll get a better return on them that way.

Since you don't deal in online currency, why not do a swap? Shipping two small figures like that shouldn't cost you much. (I've shipped single MUSCLE figures for $4 CAD.) At most it would be around $8 CAD to ship anywhere in the US, and possibly the UK.

If none of that interests you, I can either email money transfer you some cash, or I can act as a middle man for you.

JUST FYI - I doubt it since you said you weren't that into the line... BUT if you happen to have the original Shreddies Cereal boxes, those can go for a bit of money too!

Good luck whatever you end up doing!

The fire in Fort MacMurray finally died down. Though I'm sure a lot of people aren't going back to that town, having lost their homes. It's WAY far north, but my city ended up with a lot of the refugees from it.

I'll consider moving them here or doing a trade, though I'm new at all that sort of thing. I still need some of the "early series" Laser Beasts, and I don't think either of these guys is worth one of the later series, since those cost bajillions :).

I managed to rub the dark spot off of both guys' noses, but Anubis seems to have a "divot" or something that obscures the detail around that area. Jimmy Squarefoot still has those black dots on his back.

I recommend attempting to clean them up a little more if possible, it will obviously increase the value. (And it would be a shame to knock money off for something you might easily be able to do yourself.)

Soaking them in warm, soapy water might be all they need. I typically do that with any dirty/smelly figures I find. Just be sure not to use anything abrasive on the figures so you don't risk damaging them!

If you need help moving these guys, just let me know! I don't mind helping a Canadian brother out.

Glad to hear the fire is finally on it's way out. It was a nasty one, for sure.

Oh yeah, I meant to respond to this- I managed to clean off the black dots off of Jimmy Squarefoot- apparently the large "dot" was actually a tiny pebble, which I got out easily enough (it left a tiny dot on his back). Anubis is clean, but with the detail now showing, I can see that his nose is a bit blunted compared to others people are selling.  Otherwise he looks fine. Thanks for the advice!

I have images of the two now that they've been cleaned up- I finally have a PayPal account and such, so I think I can try and sell them. But first is like to get a solid feel for the price- is $25 USD/$33 CAD fair? They tend to go for that on eBay... Anubis has gone for more, but mine is damaged (see the pic of his nose).

$25 seems on the low side for a Series 3 figure to me, certainly for your undamaged one anyway. Double it and you're nearer the mark.

I agree. Get the worth out of that Jimmy Square Foot. It's an awesome figure.

Your average Shreddies figure should sell for around £35, so if you can get the equivalent of $50, or £40, then you will have done well. These guys don't sell for what they used to now, unless you get lucky on eBay. It's certain sculpt/colour combos and Big Boys figures that fetch more. I know a guy on here that sold two Shreddies on eBay at the weekend for £54 for the two, so individually only £27 plus postage.

Wow, thanks! Good to know I can go a bit higher- I've seen the Abominable Snowman and whatever that horse-guy is selling for around $100 CAD, but knowing they were outliers, I guess I undershot it a bit.
