Hi all!

Today I received the color and paint samples for the new run coming in February or March. I snapped a few pics and posted them here and there.







Also, I finally created an Instagram account (http://instagram.com/littlerubberguys/). I’ve been trying to post a pic or two each day. Lots of ROTB and LRG pics

I considered mentioning that myself.

JKaris, have you considered adding a little bit of bright color to the rhino, like you did with the scorpion in wave one?
If it's a cost issue I totally understand, but his armor accents being the same color as his hide do make him look kind of pale.

I'm not trying to be a dick, just trying to offer a little constructive criticism. I really dig these guys.

Ha! My wife just said the same thing the other night.

I actually agree on adding another color to break up things on the Rhino. I don't think it will cost more, just because it is the same areas being painted. I have to check and see if the current paint masks will work though.

That scheme worked out really well on the 3d render, but when painted, it does give him too much gray. Ditto on the Gaamik (Black/Gray) figure, too.


Going forward, we will send a paint master to the factory for matching. It seems like that makes it easier than using a PMS guide. Plus it will allow us to experiment with different colors prior to getting the factory involved.

As far as your opinions and concerns, by all means let me know. I want to make figures that you guys will love (and want to buy), so we can continue to create new characters for the line. I am really hoping that once things get rolling, we can knock out new characters (not just recolors) pretty regularly. Feedback from you guys, so we can make stuff you want is really the only way to accomplish that.

I'd love some Laser Beast hommage with bright blue armor and some orange highlights. You should also experiement with a darker grey for the Rhino's skin. The black skin on the mail-in ones was pretty striking.

 

If you produce a Lion you should make a variation in red armor (and maybe green mane?) to reference Lioga from Beast Saga!

I just got a shipping notice from the factory. These will be here this next week and activated in the store within a week or two after that. I have to make sure I have a free weekend again to pack and ship.
